I've been seeing this bug circling around Scratch about audio randomly blanking after saving and reloading the page.
If you haven't noticed yet, I've gotten it as well.
Here's all the info i've gathered about the bug.

- It happens to all projects by those affected with the bug
- The audio blanks if it's only above 5mb
- Blank audio will not affect users without the bug until the project is saved with the blank audio
- It happens with third party tools (such as sb-downloader and turbowarp packager)

This has led me to believe this may be an IP address issue, or some bandwidth throttling happening. Either from Scratch or the network.
Update: This may also be a browser issue, but i'm not entirely sure yet

I've come up with some solutions that might help with this

- Make a request through the API to download the song.
- Switch to an IP not affected by the bug (either through a vpn or the network settings)
- Increase the bandwidth capacity of the network

Again, this is all the info I have about the bug and I might discover some more info along the way.

Glad to know I'm not the only one expeirencing this bug

I had the same issue today! Project file size went from 30 to like 11 because of the audio blanking…

Maybe it's certain OS's?

On my school Chromebook (My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 129.0.0.0, No Flash version detected) it has the glitch

However, with my personal computer (My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 131.0.0.0, No Flash versions detected), it works perfectly fine.
