TO PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE BUG:

TRY SIGNING OUT ON ALL DEVICES INSTEAD OF POSTING THAT IT HAPPENS TO ME


My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 131.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

My main repeatedly gets signed out. Sometimes, before that I see the privacy policy update, but for most times, it doesn't. It usually happens when I visit the forums, however on this account, I don't get signed out, no matter how many times I visit the forums.

Interestingly this post says it happens everywhere, and that is true sometimes.

It also only appears to happen to some people, and alts aren't the problem(some people with alts have no problem, some people without used alts have problems)

This post also has some interesting scenarios, with a 403 error( I never got that) and a debug=false?

As of January 26, the bug doesn't happen to me anymore, despite me having several alt accounts.

Just did that, still happens.

ok I feel like the version is irrelevant you mixed them up by the way because my chrome book has 4 more years of support and is up to date at 131 my browser is also up to date so clearly an extension could be causing this.its more likely a remote keylogger virus is on your computer and they are logging into that account with those keylogger details.if you didn't mix them up then you are using fake chromeOS software which is most likely causing this.

I am currently on a Chromebook, and I haven't downloaded any programs except for Python IDE's.

Gonna rattle off a bunch of questions to see what's going on:

1) Is all occurring on the same device and/or same internet connection, or are you accessing the main account on a different device and/or internet connection?
2) Are you using a VPN or other means of disguising your internet connection?
3) Is the browser in incognito/private browsing mode?
4) Is it happening when visiting a specific page?

1) Same internet connection and device.
2) No.

Is it a specific forum page? If not, do you recall the actions you were doing before the logout?

I've gotten repeatedly logged out when posting stuff, but also sometimes when switching pages or refreshing.
Edit: I got logged out right after posting this, though it did go through.

No, I've only been using main account. Also, I've been logged out, even without preview I believe. I always get logged out when I see the banner for the privacy policy update that happened a while ago too

It sends you the privacy policy update notification from March 2023 I believe. Hasn’t occurred to me again, but at the time I had just thought it was me. Turns out it’s not.
