addressing bugs and glitches on scratch
hello fellow scratchers!
recently have yall also been facing bugs or glitches? It can be frustrating, but it’s also a chance to improve Scratch for everyone. Let’s come together to discuss how we can identify, report, and address these issues in a constructive and positive way.
question to you guys! : What types of bugs have you noticed while using Scratch?
scratchteam DEEP REQUEST TO YOU GUYS…. MANYY MANYYYY SCRATCHERS MIGHT START QUITTING IF THIS ISSUE ISNT SORTED SOON! WE NEED THE PLATFORM TO BE AT ITS PEAK LIKE BEFORE <3 IT WAS AMAZING! EVERYONE WAS CAREFUL… TECH TEAM WORKED AND WHAT NOT.
now barely any moderators check scratch

hello fellow scratchers!Long-loading projects, does that count as a bug?

question to you guys! : What types of bugs have you noticed while using Scratch? We already have an entire forum for this. Why do we need a topic for it?
scratchteam DEEP REQUEST TO YOU GUYS…. MANYY MANYYYY SCRATCHERS MIGHT START QUITTING IF THIS ISSUE ISNT SORTED SOON! WE NEED THE PLATFORM TO BE AT ITS PEAK LIKE BEFORE <3 IT WAS AMAZING! EVERYONE WAS CAREFUL… TECH TEAM WORKED AND WHAT NOT.So what if users quit or leave Scratch? Scratch has had the highest rate of new users on average over the past year ever, it's not like suddenly nobody will be here. People said the same thing when 3.0 came out and it lacked several features of the editor from 2.0, and two years later Scratch saw a huge uptick in activity, reaching a level where it was more popular than ever.
now barely any moderators check scratchNot entirely certain what you mean by this, but if you mean that the moderation team hasn't been doing their job, they most certainly have been. Keep in mind that there are only a small handful of moderators and over 100 million users, and over 160 million shared projects. They wait for a report to come in to check if something is appropriate, and then check to see if what was reported is inappropriate or not. If you see something inappropriate, please report it. This does actually work quite well, contrary to popular belief.

Scratch is falling apart now. The ST should check on the glitches more often.

Normally, I'd just not post on topics like these, but I'm doing it this once.
Remember you are talking about <50 employees with a multiple trucks load of things to deal with.
You cannot mentally or physically keep up with a flood of reports, see deplorable things, getting constantly berated because people don't bother to take responsibility or try to resolve the matter in a user-to-moderator fashion rather than screaming “but I'm not in the wrong!!”, or because people are impatient, list goes on.
There's likely a schedule for checking that subforum and for attempting to fix bugs - Main problem is that the engineers themselves are likely having to constantly push those bug fixes back because they already are (assuming the post from cheddargirl still stands) overworked due to a lack of them.
EDIT: Oh. Ninja'd…
WE NEED THE PLATFORM TO BE AT ITS PEAK LIKE BEFORE <3 IT WAS AMAZING! EVERYONE WAS CAREFUL… TECH TEAM WORKED AND WHAT NOT.Their engineers have been working, and so has the moderation team.

Scratch is falling apart now. The ST should check on the glitches more often. We are on a nonprofit site. You are bound to see things break when there's over a good million people using it.
