My friend got his account BLOCKED because it apparently got hacked, which it didn't. The thing that annoys him is because a few months ago he sent a scratch a message telling them that it must've been a mistake and they never sent him an email back, fast Forward now and he's sent at least 3 appeal messages and scratch hasn't said anything. Why would they block an account for no reason then not respond?

The scratch team is very busy, it takes months for an unblock appeal to be responded to. Just tell him to wait some more time.

Its been about 6 months with no reply.

Maybe he should try apealing again. this happened to me when my roblox account got terminated (not trying to change the subject btw)

He has, he told me that hes gonna do it 1 more time, we still have no response.

Actually, don't.

Appeals take several months (3 months for a response is a little fast, actually. Wait a few more months), and spamming the ST's inbox with them, or yelling at them that the ban is unfair will just make them less likely to unban your friend.

Agreed, can say from experience. (Though mine only took a month to reply, I got really lucky)

Reread the OP, and it looks like the “it must have been a mistake” part caused the deny. A proper appeal should follow the three A's that I made up on the spot:
Admit they did something wrong,
Apologize for what they did,
and Assure they won't do it again.

This would probably work for having the ST consider most appeals, but what would the affected individual have done wrong? Move around a lot when using their scratch account? If the reason is that the scratch team blocked that account is that it was hacked, and it was not, then it would be a mistake.

An aspect they havent considered: was this friend on a student account? Recently people on student accounts have been having issues. What exactly did the alert say?

Scratch has been fairly slow with Contact Us responses lately(I think the growing userbase, especially during the COVID pandemic and a certain Scratch game blowing up). It took almost two weeks for the Scratch Team to respond to my email regarding a stalker and his alt accounts.

And considering it can apparently take 3 months for a ban appeal to be answered?

I think you're going to have to wait, sorry…

Sending multiple appeal messages might not be as helpful as you think it is, as it can bury your initial appeal, appeals from other people, or the Scratch Team might get sick of your appeals and decide not to ban you.

Roblox does not have the same moderation as Scratch.

He didn't follow that because the ban WAS a mistake. He got banned because his account apparently got hacked, which it did not because no suspicious activity was on the account.

No it was not a student account.

Please note that the Scratch team will not respond to dishonest or disrespectful appeals. However, a reply should not take six months. There have been numerous instances where the Scratch team has so-called “ignored” appeals. For example, my classmate, UI-coder, has been banned for over a year and has sent three appeals without receiving any response. He has been banned since 2023 and has since moved on with his life and no longer cares about the platform. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do in this situation except wait.

The ban was a mistake, i dont know why they would ban someone for it being hacked but then not unban the person when they sent an appeal. In the ban message it Litterly says that they blocked the account to prevent sabotage.

That worked for me when I appealed for literally the same reason.
