I could maybe make a theme song, I'm a good composer… What would it be for though?

Websites playing audio unsolicited is a bad design idea - no-one wants (or at least very few people want) it, it has no benefit. If it were a good idea I'm sure other websites would already be doing this. Why does it have to have lyrics? It should be a quick 5-second tune when you log in or sign up. Adding lyrics would make it more of a song, not a theme song.
The 90s website design beg to differ
Websites in the 90s used to play audio unsolicited,in order to make their website more lively, but that doesn't work on mozilla-based browsers like Netscape and only worked on IE…..

The fact that websites from 30 years ago used to do something doesn't make that thing good. Imo, the inverse is usually true.Websites playing audio unsolicited is a bad design idea - no-one wants (or at least very few people want) it, it has no benefit. I'm referring to bgsound, not the audio element. Mozilla browsers never supported bgsound.

If you mean the lifecycle for the edition that everyone uses then yep,It is end of life, but if you meant the LTSC editions, then no,it's not end of life till 2029….same as IE Mode.
Also,i'm referring to bgsound,not audio.

I honestly think a Scratch theme song would be kinda cringe - much like those edutainment like stuff that you see in school. There is just something uncanny about a Scratch theme song - it feels like I'm listening to a song but then also being pushed to learn or do something - and it makes for a really weird vibe that I feel like would actually deter people from the Scratch platform altogether. No offense for the songs people have made here - I'm not saying they're bad! - but the idea is just… unsettling.
One okay execution that I've seen of anything remotely resembling a Scratch theme song (which this is not) that actually was created by the ST, is I'd like to teach the world to code by the Scratch Team and various Scratchers, from 2015. I'd bet that after mentioning this, I'm probably going to summon @medians :P

IMO a theme song would only really make sense if scratch ran an ad campaign, but i seriously doubt they'd ever do that
it would really only make sense for advertising purposes, and when was the last time you saw a scratch ad on TV? never.
and as for the front page video, it does its job pretty well and doesn't really need to be updated (unless the ST wanted to make it comply with the new purple site)

I might actually make one, however I would have to convince Scratch Team to put it into the sound library. (Other than that, song that is complete I made: It's Dementoborms)
