trending?
so my newest project hot 60 loves in 1 and half days and it's not on the trending page. I know that it's hard to get on the trending page, but still a see projects with like 20 loves that was posted a couple of months ago. I just confused if I'm doing something wrong. btw it's this project https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1116221125 is this not following the community guidelines? I don't think it's bad

You were using a glitch which is not allowed, but I believe it is otherwise following the CGs. It's probably just not popular enough, if I'm being honest.

the trending glitch, I think. here's more information on that from the wiki. source
The trending glitch is commonly known across Scratch and is used to get one's project shown in the “trending” category of Explore without the project actually qualifying for “trending” status. Unsharing and then resharing projects utilizes the glitch by making the Scratch website believe that the reshared project received however many loves and favorites the project in question had before the reshare in a short amount of time when in fact the project had technically already had those loves and favorites before it was even shared. As a result, the project is shown as “trending.”

You spammed tags, so it wasn't the Trending glitch, just tag spamming.

Nope. I can't have a lot of tags?
Spamming tags, is, well, spam. Please keep comments respectful and avoid spamming or posting chain mail.

It might have just not been indexed.
Scratch has a thing called the Indexer which adds projects to trending but it takes a while to get to projects with high IDs. (The id is the number in the URL)
The indexer also fails to index projects above like 1B cause of a bug.

I've seen a bunch of projects on trending with IDs above 1 billion, so that's wrong The indexer also fails to index projects above like 1B cause of a bug.

There's a few coming through, but certainly not all of them.
And that's a recent thing anyway, for months they weren't coming through at all.

is it an animation? is it an art showcase? is it a game? is it a music showcase? is it a story? #all #animation #art #games #music #stories #trending
if you said no to any of these, then you're putting unrelated tags on your project, which (i'm pretty sure) is reportable.
