Deleting your own comments anywhere [SOLUTION]

So, deleting your own comments anywhere is rejected,

6.1 Delete or edit your comments everywhere
The inability to delete your comments everywhere is put in place so users do not post inappropriate comments or spam comments on other users' profiles, projects, or studios, just to delete them later on. In contrast, you are not really likely to spam your own projects or profile. The only benefits to this are to remove comments that you did not mean to post and to fix spelling errors. The former could be solved by thinking carefully before posting any comments, and the latter could be worked around by typing slowly and/or stating your mistakes in a reply to the comment.
since it could mean that some is mean to another scratcher, but then deletes it so they cant report it. But what about letting you delete your own comments anywhere IF no one has seen it? Scratch could use a decector to see if anyone saw a comment, and if not, they could delete it. This would mean you can fix typos easily.

They can detect when forum topic and projects are viewed, why not comments?

Because you can't click on a comment to see it.

I don't know where my thoughts lie on the suggestion itself, but to clarify something: Scratch can tell what comments have been loaded, which should suffice for detecting if a comment has been “seen” (which could also be done but would require client-side trust)

No, but lets say the comment was on my profile, if anyone looks at my profile, we will assume they saw the comment. Its not perfect but yeah. Also, scratch can tell when comments have been loaded.

Or just make if the user viewed the comment, like if he scrolls down until the comment, it will asume as you read it

This could be kind of annoying to implement. You would need to add an entirely new variable for each comment about whether or not it was seen.

It could be useful, but in this case, we should be able do delete AND edit comments IF no one saw it yet

You shouldn't need to do that, if it's old and cringy you can reply to it and say that you know it's cringe and doesn't reflect how you are now. If it's inappropriate there should be consequences, and if it's a mistake or doesn't make sense, replying to it works too.

If not for any of the above, why would you need to delete a comment?

Well, once i made a typo in my comment, and since i was a new scratcher i had to wait 60 secs to correct it amd people already saw it by then. besides, its just less annoying.

you could delete it, then it would say that greentreebee deleted a post at 10:30:00

and then you could click a button to request to see it and it would text the original poster the request

could that work?

I feel like requesting to see it is unnecessary, but yeah it should say “this comment has been deleted at 10:30:00” to know that there was a comment.
