Project View History
You know how YouTube and other platforms save your content viewing history so you can easily revisit the content in the future? I think Scratch should have a similar feature where it saves the projects you previously viewed into your account so you can easily revisit them in the future as well.

The whole point is to not have to favourite them. With your argument, you’re saying that people should just like YouTube videos instead of having them automatically save into their watch history.

1. I never said YouTube should save videos like that, you're making things up
2. This isn't about YouTube, this is about Scratch. You cannot apply my argument to everything, as it is Scratch spacific
If you like a project enough to revisit it, then you should ‘star’ it. Searching for it also works as well. Plus, it lets the creator know you enjoyed it

Why not just ‘star’ them?I agree with The-Sushi-Cat.

What if you forget to favourite it or were in the middle of viewing a project and you weren’t sure whether you like it enough to favourite it?
This isn't about YouTube, this is about Scratch. But my point still stands that being able to see your project view history is helpful.
Searching for it also works as well.Searching for it doesn’t always work well due to Scratch’s primitive search function. You can see more about this in my other forum thread: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/797992/

You search for the userWhat if you forget who the user was?
you look in your search historyThat’s a good point, although my suggestion is to allow you to look in your Scratch account rather than your browser history to see previously viewed projects.

1. Where would you put it?
2. Would everyone be able to see it?
3. How many projects does it save?
I also feel like it might give people an easy way to return to projects they don't like, so they can continue to harass people (I understand reporting is a thing that exists, but many people like to argue, instead of reporting, it's a very common issue here)
Although, I can see the use, especially if it's a bad project and you may not have the time to report it then and there, but then again, search history exists

There's actually somewhere you can do this already - go to a studio projects page and click ‘browse projects’, then click ‘recent’.
Although, this is hidden away where no-one will ever look, so I agree this should be put somewhere more prominent. It's useful if I don't want to go digging into my browser history to find a project I forgot to star.

That’s a good point, although my suggestion is to allow you to look in your Scratch account rather than your browser history to see previously viewed projects.Their point still stands, however. There's no need to add something you can already do yourself.
I digress - There's already a topic for this from 11 years ago, so I suggest going there instead so the discussion is in one place, in contrast to it being in two or more places at once (which would just be disarray).

Thanks for the link! It does look like this is a duplicate topic so I'll close it to keep the conversation all in one place. That’s a good point, although my suggestion is to allow you to look in your Scratch account rather than your browser history to see previously viewed projects.Their point still stands, however.
