What do you do if someone doesn't let you remix their projects?
I've had this scratcher that doesn't let anyone remix their projects. I know I should just not remix their projects, but this has concerned me. Scratch says that everyone is open to remixing, but I don't want to do anything that might get me banned. Should I report them? Please help me with this.

if there is like no ability to remix that project, then report it, it's against the rules

This is a reportable offense. It is against Community Guidelines to not let people remix your project, either by written statement on a profile or project, or by blocking remixing in the code of a project somehow.
From Scratch Wiki's “Remix” page:
Here is the Scratch Wiki's “Scratch Project License” page if you would like to know what you agree to when you upload your projects to Scratch under this license.
Related quote from the same page to reiterate my point:
From Scratch Wiki's “Remix” page:
All projects on Scratch fall under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License that Scratch uses. The Scratch Team strongly discourages “unremixable” projects. One of Scratch's core principles is that anyone can remix another user's project and add their own ideas, as shown in the Community Guidelines. Making unremixable projects is against this principle.

Related quote from the same page to reiterate my point:
Under this license, a user cannot be prevented from downloading, remixing, or otherwise being able to access some part of the program. This is agreed to when the creator uploads their project to the Scratch website.

What do you do if someone doesn't let you remix their projects?
Scratch embraces remix culture whether you like it or not.
If you share a project on Scratch, it's automatically open-source and anyone can remix it or view/obtain the assets. This is more or less to encourage kids exchanging ideas, or so they can have specific assets.
If someone tells you not to remix their project, report them(that's what the Scratch Team suggests). Or if you're reluctant to report them, tell them disallowing remixes aren't allowed on Scratch.

I'd recommend just using the Report button and not telling them directly. Those who already dislike remixing are unlikely to change their mind from a Scratcher telling them otherwise, and so telling them will likely escalate the situation. What do you do if someone doesn't let you remix their projects?
Simply report it. The report reason for that is: “This project doesn't allow remixing” I've had this scratcher that doesn't let anyone remix their projects. I know I should just not remix their projects, but this has concerned me. Scratch says that everyone is open to remixing, but I don't want to do anything that might get me banned. Because all projects should be remixable, they should be reported. If you don't want anyone to remix your project, you can still make a project but don't share it

What do you do if someone doesn't let you remix their projects?
They should need to learn about remixing their projects because Scratch is supposed to be Create Projects, share it, people might want to remix the original project. If the author of the project doesn’t want let them remix randomly, they can quote: “Do not remix without my permission” I've had this scratcher that doesn't let anyone remix their projects. I know I should just not remix their projects, but this has concerned me. Scratch says that everyone is open to remixing, but I don't want to do anything that might get me banned. What do you do if someone doesn't let you remix their projects?
If they just mean don’t remix without changing anything at all that’s okay. However if they don’t allow remixing with changes to art, code .e.c.t. then report them. Just don’t do it if they’re just saying no to exact copies or recolours. Hope this helped- Skye out~
