what are the pros and cons of scratch?
ehem
pros
- helps kids to learn how to code in scratch
- introduces them to a nice and kid-friendly community (for most of the part)
- easy to use and easy to learn, clean interface and easy to understand
- boosts child creativity and stuff
cons
- scratch isn’t a really practical language outside of the website itself
- some part of the community isn’t very nice (but the same applies everywhere)
- i cant think of anything else
- art theft (like a lot and you cant do anything against it)
in my opinion of course

what are the pros and cons of scratch?
In my opinion,
Pros:
+Introduces children to an easy to understand basic programming language with fun characters and colorful blocks.
+Can help create awareness of others and things, and help children explore and learn about these things from multiple places, giving room for them to form their own opinions.
+Can help others learn online-safety.
+Educational
+A unique and welcoming community for others to explore and learn about.
+For all ages.
+In a way, a “safe” form of Social-Media. (CGs)
Cons:
-Many Social Media aspects
-The filter isn't perfect.
-CGs can be broken easily.
-Moderation isn't perfect.
-Website can be buggy.
-Code isn't as useful outside of Scratch.
Please keep in mind that these are just my opinion, and that the forums aren't really for polls. I'm not really sure what kind of question this is, but this seems a little poll-y and could be closed.

what are the pros and cons of scratch?
Please remember that “Questions About Scratch” is here to help Scratchers learn Scratch - the website and the language. Let's please not take up space with other topics, such as polls and opinion questions. A studio might be a good place for those discussions.
