phonk is one of my top 1 genres, i have a phonk playlist on spotify and there are like 30 songs help

I won't say I listen to all music genres but I really do listen to a lot of music genres. It's easier to list the ones I don't listen to lol.

Right now i mostly listen to braindance, but specifically my favorites are prob Boards of Canada, Two Lone Swordsmen, Plaid, Autechre, Flying Lotus. Saying those out of my actual favorites because they're the most recognizable bands lol. I buy everything on CD so I have a ton of IDM CDs. My actual favorite IDM artists are Neat Little Boxes, E*Vax, Fomatic, The Remote Viewer, Kiln, Photek, which are smaller names that are hard to find a lot on. I do know Oneohtrix Point Never which was mentioned earlier but tbh I don't really like the vocal approach he takes to IDM, feels too mainstream to me, like Skrillex. Or the one album that's supposed to chronicle death to demensia.

To think I knew nothing about this genre in August lol. Back then all I knew about EDM in the 90s and 00s was Daft Punk which is still one of my favorite bands (I have all 4 main albums on CD).

The Police are great, Sting is great. Tbh I don't really know what genre they fall into despite them being in my top 3 bands of all time. (1. Coldplay, 2. Fleetwood Mac, 3. Police). Probably english New Wave or Punk Rock.

I only listen to Phonk and K-Pop if i'm with a group of friends and we're making fun of it ngl

phonk and trap subgenres are easily confused, i'd say something more like emo rap or hip hop.

Seriously, what does that have to do with anything? I don't claim I listen to all genres, yet I like debatably the heaviest music genre. I don't listen to much of it, as I'm really picky with what I like from it, but I still like it.

maybe I should listen to those artists I've kind of stopped listening to music that much as of late.
from those mentioned I've only heard of boards of canada, Photek, and two lones swordmens (from which i can only recall one song, i think i listened to most of their discography at one point but I guess i didn't find it very interesting to me.)
