An animation when the heart or star is clicked
I'm ambiguous. While it seems cool, it might encourage people to try it out just for an animation, thus meaning a bunch of random loves being given out.

An animation when the heart or star is clicked
Support only if there was an option to turn it off, but it would be nice.…why would you wanna turn it off?

Animations are typically a bad idea in UI design from a UX perspective:
- They draw attention away from the main content of the page (you'd think people would get used to this eventually, but no)
- They influence decisions - buttons that are animated are more likely to be pressed (I remember this being why the like/subscribe buttons in Youtube got animated)
- They're annoying: people don't want people jumping around in the page whenever they press a button - it gets in the way and can be visually distracting, even if it's only half a second
So this would probably result in:
- People spending less time looking at projects
- Higher like counts (which isn't really a good thing - it indicates that people aren't really considering the project to the same degree)
- A 200ms burst of sensory overload whenever the like button is pressed
Tripartite lists are my passion; this one is here to clarify that,
- Yes, this really happens and is a serious consideration for UI designers, look it up
- I'm not claiming that someone will press the button solely to play the animation, but rather that they are more likely to
- Yes I personally dislike UI animations, they're so unnecessary and get in the way without providing a benefit beyond “ooh shiny”
