ok sooooo i have precisely THREE questions related to the forums. these are probably pretty minor, but i would like to know the answers to them.

QUESTION ONE: how do you change the size of text?

QUESTION TWO: how do you apply links to text?

QUESTION THREE: what exactly are ‘kumquats’? where’d they come from? why are they so native to the forums in particular?

QUESTION FOUR: what’s the absolute most SPECIFIC amount of days until comments on a topic would be considered necroposting?

it would be nice if there were images attached to the answers, but describing the answers are good enough. that’s all i want to know… for now.

3. In real life, kumquats are fruit. However, “Evil kumquats” are a trend that started in Scratch 1.x when cheddargirl's signature got erased from the servers and did not replace it, so simply put “Sadly, my signature was eaten by an evil kumquat”.
4. No general time, usually around two months.

Incorrect. You're right about the general kumquat info, but the evil kumquat trend started when @cheddargirl's signature broke because the image hosting service that her signature was hosted on (it was a single image) was removed from the image whitelist, when 2.0 first came out. Being too lazy to re-construct her old signature, she simply replaced it with something along the lines of “my signature was eaten by an evil kumquat”. This took off and remains one of the most popular Scratch forum trends, despite being over a decade old.

Glad you found an answer! Since this is resolved, I'll close it to help highlight the answer and prevent future responses. If you need it re-opened, though, you can report this and ask.
