Scratch should add an addon library in which the Scratch team can test mods, and the mods that make scratch a lot better (such as dark mode, multi invite button, and Etc.) if we had this then we could finish things more quickly such as the dark mode can actually save battery and it can relax your eyes.

what if an addon creator pulls a cult of the lamb and now the link to the addon leads to something inappropriate?

what if the ST doesn't notice and it stays up for say… 30 minutes? this doesn't sound like much but thousands of users would be redirected to something innapropriate, or worse yet the addon now hijacks their browser and deletes their account, so nobody can report that it doesn't work?

you're going to get banned for actually saying the name of the outsider thing, scratch doesn't know if it's safe or not so your not allow to advertise it.

Well then scratch should instead make a new website where you can create your own add-ons then you can submit it to the scratch team, they could also have scratch pick different add-ons then make a poll for which one can get added.

that sounds like a LOT of moderation the ST is not equipped to do.

Well then it should be a community poll on the other website, where you must be 13 or older to see the add-ons and the three with the most votes gets moderated by the scratch team if they are safe and then they can add it to the editor, this is much easier because the scratch team only has to moderate 3 add-ons plus they could make it that you don't have to make the add-ons but instead you could post a slide about the add on and why it should be added

But some students might be blocked and they can't use any add-ons or even open the files because they are on chromebook

they would look deep into it before aprooving it, including source code, and contents.

Basically, just Beta Scratch? Would it connect to actual Scratch or would it just be like Scratch lab?
