I first discovered the latter from some youtube video i found years ago that was like an hour long mix of various “atmospheric dnb” tunes that I think were all made in the 90s-early 2000s.

also I like chiptune medleys. Not really a genre but Idk how to explain it. Like the title theme of super mario world or the song from super mario land.

other than that i don't really listen to much stuff. usually a song only sticks with me if it sounds like that or if it sounds weird or annoying.

I like intense stuff like industrial metal and that stuff from Doom/Doom: Eternal. But every once and a while I do try dabbling in older music like ragtime, jazz, swing, and ska. As well as tap dance and barbershop.

I've heard of femtaynl but never bothered to listen to any of their music.
Actually i lied, i listened to one song they made. I found it kind of boring though.
A bit harsh to judge an artist by only one song they made, though. but i don't actually listen to music much , and i already know of a genre that uses breakbeat samples in a style i like more (I believe this artist makes breakbeat music?)

and if anyone has any song recommendations for this artist go ahead. I'II listen to it whenever i remember.

I recently discovered the Outsider House genre, I really like the vibe of it.
I absolutely adore Mirages, it's one of my favourite ambient albums, best thing to put when you're outside in the bus or walking during a cold day. You should really check out Tim Hecker if you like ambient music. Other artists of this genre I like are Oneohtrix Point Never, alva noto, Belong, and a bunch of others.
I also like Aphex Twin, Autechre, Boards of Canada, the usual IDM stuff.
