[RESOLVED] What are forum bumps?
Posting on a topic brings the topic to the top of its forum.
This is called a bump, sometimes known by the acrostic “Bring Up My Post”.
For example, by making this post, I'm bumping this topic to the top of the Questions about Scratch forum - or rather, I'm putting this topic just below the Sticky topics, which are always at the top.
The post doesn't have to say “bump”, but people say “bump” anyway when they don't have anything else to say.
More info: Bump

Adding to that, it doesn't have to be on just shops. It can be on any forum topic, as long as it is still relevant, not rejected, or not resolved.

Adding even further on, bumping a very old topic without adding anything can be considered necroposting. Necroposting is the act of bringing up a very old topic for no reason. It crowds the front page, and causes problems, so it it not allowed.

Adding on, bumping should only be done every 24 hours or if your topic is off the first page.

Bring Up My Post, often shortened to Bump, is a way to bring your post up to the 1st page of the subforum that topic is in.
However, bumping should be done once every 24 hours.
