Scratch project too slow

For some reason, my scratch animation started acting slower than normal, though a few days ago it wasn't that slow. I don't have a lot of blocks or sprites, and I checked everything. I don't know what happened.

Hmmm. This could be a problem with your device. Or not. Are you up to date with your device updates? How many tabs/windows do you keep open? What browser do you use?

To piggyback on one of @RichieRich2021's points: Have you switched browsers lately? As a Firefox user, I find that it consistently runs Scratch projects about one-third slower than Chromium-based browsers like Chrome and Edge.

Alternatively, do you have a laptop? Is the battery low? Make sure it's not in any sort of power-saving mode, and if it's not, see if it runs any differently when plugged in. Some laptops will throttle performance when running on battery power.

The thing is I didn't switch my browser, and on any computer I use, it's still slow. But the thing is, it's only happening on my animations, and if I use turbo mode or take out the blocks, it works faster.

I think I got it fixed now. There was too much math going on between the wait blocks. Thanks tho!

I use Firefox and even though my PC is plugged in and 100% charged, animations still run slow, and I thought it was the storage in my PC since it's kinda old.
