this is a tentative suggestion, but since there isn't much activity in chuey's wcg, and willow, since you're really distracted by exams (me too lol im litearlly typing this in between studying for science SCREAMING) would it be ok to swap wcgs? just since there's a *lot* of word adding that needs to be done for willow's wcg, but there's barely any activity in chuey's sob, so i'm sure it'll work out better that way <33

again VERY TENTATIVE suggestion but i think it might work out better? we could also swap the studios themselves, so people in willow's wcg now belong in chuey's – but they wouldn't have to move, instead the two studios would be swapped over in terms of copy and pasting description and thumbnails?

another option is to move some campers from willow's wcg to chuey's, which might be more difficult - but again, there's just so so much activity in willow's wcg that looks hard to keep up with especially with exams :sob:

also, training yard is basically done! i literally just need to do the description and thumbnail, which i'll do tmrw after the dang science exam is over

i'm actually about to be done with exams in a day! so i should be in the clear, and more active from now on - i do have a science exam but i'm good with that and it won't distract me, but i'd say that it could also make the campers a little confused? especially mine, as majority of my wcg are new campers.. most are also inactive except for maybe four… i'd could ask one if they would be ok with moving?

i haven't noticed much improvement in activity for your wcg, chuey, so could I ask whether we could move babyoda (sage) to your wcg chuey?? they're extremely active and add their words in little batches, so i think it might be better to spread out that workload? they're also really nice. they are new this session, so we might need to explain it a little to them though? if that's okay with you willow and chuey of course ^^

Dailies and Weeklies
You may have noticed people talking about things called dailies and weeklies - but what are they?

As the name suggests, dailies are daily activities that can be found in the description of the Main Cabin every day. The daily will usually outline the activity, give you a minimum word count (the smallest amount of words you need to write towards the daily for it to count), and how many points you can earn for posting it in the main cabin. Keep in mind that unless stated otherwise, you can go over the minimum word count and it will still get you points! Most dailies also have bonus point available for posting “proof,” which is explained in another section <3 However, it's totally optional and you don't have to share proof if your writing isn't scratch appropriate, contains personal information, or you're not comfortable sharing it.

Dailies also have a time limit! They change every day (or night, depending on where you live) at midnight, UTC time. It's highly recommended to figure out when midnight UTC is in your time zone. That way, you won't get caught off guard when the deadline is up. After the deadline for a daily passes, you can't submit it for points, but you can still add the words you wrote in your word counting group.

Next, what are weeklies? Weeklies, like dailies, can be completed for points, have minimum word counts (and occasionally maximum word counts), and have a deadline, but unlike dailies, weeklies last all week long and are much longer. You can also get a lot more points for completing them. There are four weeklies total in a SWC session, and they're made up of several different chunks, or parts. Think of it this way: a weekly is like a bunch of dailies glommed together. The parts are all related to each other, and you have to complete all of the parts for your weekly to count.

I'm going to update my desc with the final bonuses - and do we want to try and coordinate a “boss battle” challenge or something? It might be a fun way to wrap up the session, and an opportunity to get campers to participate in the final weekly and/or the writing comp.

a boss battle would be so much fun. i think we should have essentially:

“Well done, everyone! Your dragons have been trained and are now powerful beasts ready to take on the world, and your dragonkeeping skills are rivaled by no other. However, the evil dragons have discovered the existence of you and your dragons, and are heading over to put an end to you, once and for all. In order to defeat the evil dragons, you will need to complete XXX, XXX and XXX. Will you be able to triumph?”

Does something like that work? Also, what do we think is a reasonable expectation? Since we have five *cries* days left, what about something like:

• Five entries to writing comp
  
• Three weeklies
  
• Nine dailies
  
• Three critiquaries
  

Is this too much? I also don't know whether we should be allowed to help, what do you guys think?

Since we don't have that much time left I'd narrow it down to just the entries, weeklies, and dailies, but otherwise that list looks great!
If it looks like it won't be completed in time we can step in, but otherwise we can let the campers do it <3
