Hello Everyone! I know many people are experiencing this bug, and I wanted to make a post for a central hub for this topic.

My Testing
In my experience testing this bug, I have found that if there are 2 letters then 1 number, search results will not show up. (Example: aa3 will result in no search results). This is just speculation. Further testing will need to happen.

A Theory On Why it Search Does not Work
Okay, I may or may not have found the issue. It might be because scratch Search requests are filled up as if you go to this URL (That is the API scratch uses for the search feature) there is a error, the error is “es_rejected_execution_exception”, searching that on google shows this result “The es_rejected_execution_exception indicates that your queue is full and that any new requests are rejected. This bulk queue error occurs when the number of requests to the cluster exceeds the bulk queue size (threadpool. bulk. queue_size).”

I don't know how to fix that on Scratch Teams end, but all I know is that the queue is full

This error probably only happens because there's no projects with names like that and won't affect user experience.

Can you provide more information?

No, because if you search something up (Example: FNAF) there is a “Nothing Here” text, but you search up “aa3”, no text or anything

No, because if you search something up (Example: FNAF) there is a “Nothing Here” text, but you search up “aa3”, no text or anything

Hmm, probably just a bug in HTML code. Still won't affect the average person, but cool to know.

Edit: the “nothing found” only shows up if there's a banned project that was there. I typed in “vghtrdgrhdtnhxtrn” (gibberish) and it came up blank.

I found that the only thing I (or We) could search is the “war” keyword (Idk why )

Edit : It works for me if we search, then click on studios, then on projects

This topic was made prior to the topic you are linking to. That makes the other topic the dupe. Assuming that they are actually discussing the same issue - which isn't entirely clear yet. I think we need more information about what the OP here is seeing and what tests they have performed.

“try searching for studios that might have that/those project(s) in them.
I think the reason why this is happening is due to data loss ad the servers still being trashed after the DDOS attack a few weeks ago. If you can't find the project and searching studios don't help, then try making a project instead of searching or wait until the servers are fixed.” would that work?

The api request shows the error “Error 503 first byte timeout”

I think explore page is also impacted. The music tab on there does not load for example.

I noticed that if you wait enough, sometime the search results do show up. But it's clear something's wrong.

that happned to me aswel

this is from the server upload a few weeks ago.

Every time I press the lightbulb when making a project it tells me that an error has occurred so I have to restart, and the worst part is when I accidentally press it and lose some of my code . Even I made a discussion form about that bug but nobody is going to that forum and nobody is talking about how the lightbulb is glitched is like they just don’t care about losing their code. If someone has a solution, tell me.

i don't know the bug as i rarely use a tutorial, but normally you can download your project and work on it from there while viewing a tutorial in your browser.

My search bar appears normal, and if I search something short, it works fine. But when I try to pluralize my search term, or add more words, I am met with a blank box of grey (not even the ‘no projects found’ message), even when I know they exist. Most specifically, searching the studios for ‘Open DTAs’ yields me no results, when the search has worked in the past. I have tried clearing my cache (multiple times), but it hasn't seemed to help. I am having this problem on my phone as well (which is on a different account).

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
