I like to download my projects in backup files in case something ever goes wrong. For some reason this one project won't download: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1072725442/ It is understandably large considering it is a sound loop collection, but I would think it would simply take longer to download and still download. It won't download at all. Does anyone know what is wrong? I'm using the normal save to computer button inside the project under the File option.

Can the project still save to Scratch?

It still saves on Scratch normally. I just can't save it to my device for some reason even though I can currently download anything else. It won't even give me an error saying it can't save. It just doesn't do anything when I click the save to device button.

Try resetting your browser/app and download again. If that won't work, maybe try restarting your device.

Neither worked. I can still download everything else normally. It's just the one project. Are you able to download it? You can just delete it immediately if you can. Idk if it's somehow my device or it's just the project, but testing it with another device should confirm which it is.

I tried… didn't work. I heard my computer getting louder like it was going to explode and checked Task Manager. It used 10 GIGABYTES of my memory.. the project's simply too large for computers to handle.

Even my tab says 9.1 GB…

o_O Well that explains. With all my other projects I wouldn't be surprised that it couldn't store that much. Although I would think I would get an error at least saying it could upload. Thanks! Btw, where exactly did you find the task manager storage and tab storage things that told you how much space it was using? That might be helpful in case I ever try to upload another project that turns out to be too big.

Task manager can be accessed w/ control alt delete (on Windows). Also, just hover over your tab and it'll say how much memory it's using (on Chrome)!

Thanks! I see the memory button on the Task Manager. I don't have Chrome.

Try making sure that you are giving Scratch permission to download multiple files onto your computer.
If that is not effective then you can always save the project as a copy, that is a work around that is useful if you are encountering technical issues with downloading the projects .sb3 file.

I've had this problem myself before. Sometimes I am able to fix it by changing something and then trying to download again. Waiting sometimes helps as well.

I Firgured it out had to use chrome enstead of Edge

Edge should work as well - but switching browsers could help. The bug can occur on any browser.
