I'm suggesting, why don't you delete the

block? It can be replaced with a simple workaround. Also, I feel it's confusing.

i bet almost all of us don’t know that workaround
listen, the move x steps block also have a literal workaround block (change x by) but it’s still there
i believe children understand the word forever

This would break millions of projects. The workaround is not something that people would easily come to mind to, especially beginners. Anything if you try hard enough could be workarounded.

then what about division and multiplication

It's always a balance between reducing the number of blocks to make it easier to learn and reducing the effort to make a class of projects by implementing a new block.

In this case, because the Forever block is used so universally, it makes sense to have a specific block for it.
