Some people begin to leave scratch. Is Scratch dying at this point?

I saw users like (removed by moderator - please don't name names) quit, due to the shyness of being popular and]the fact that it's too hold for him, respectively. And this could happen to other scratchers as well! No, begging the quitted scratchers to return may just make situations worse. I felt like this can happen to us as well, when we all gave up on Scratch due to a reason. I am worried about this situation.
Too see people that is/are quitting Scratch, search one of these:

- quitting
- quitting forever
- quitting scratch
- quit scratch
- leaving
- leaving forever
- leaving scratch
- leave scratch
- left scratch
- my final project
- my last project
- goodbye scratch
- farewell scratch

Or something like that. I recommend you click trending to see the recent users who left Scratch. You can see some results from users who say that they will leave Scratch due to a reason. Either due to someone quitting, the community/downfall of Scratch, having a job or school to do, moving on to other programming languages, or MORE. If you give up on Scratch, it's okay. But if you don't keep Scratch alive for the future! I had nothing much to say but thank you for reading, Remember to not give up, and Scratch on, Scratchers!

the reason that [most] people leave Scratch is because they are not “popular” enough.

Scratch isn't about fame, and it was never meant to be.

The only “valid” reason to leave Scratch (aside from personal matters) is that Scratch is too easy and you want to move on to more advanced programming languages; which is the exact purpose of Scratch in the first place.

no. If you check the statistics page, activity is growing or stagnant (aside from the seasonal summer dip).

I don't think it's dying. According to Scratch Stats it's doing pretty well. People are always coming and going. It's just the circle of life

On the contrary. Scratch has more activity than ever, according to the stats page (not counting the annual summer dip when many people using Scratch for school aren't active because they're not in school)- more people are making projects than ever, and some of the most comments have been posted (although this has been going down somewhat since 2021, when there was a massive spike in them due to many people being stuck at home because of COVID-19).

If a few famous people quit, that doesn’t mean it’s dead.
Unless, of course, we’re talking about Royale High…

Scratch isn't dying in fact scratch has more activity than ever! Just because a few scratchers quit doesn't mean scratch is dying

Pretty much this. Use of the Scratch Site continues to increase.
