scratch 4.0 will only be a editor update, but the concept we all made would change the site totally, like the GUI, and it would still use javascript and we just only get a editor update, the gen of scratch is currently 3.1 by the purple
The listing said there will be a ‘re-imagined online community’. How would that constitute only an editor update?
I’m sorry for posting so much

Where is this listing? I’ve never heard of it.
Go to the ‘Jobs’ link in the footer. On that page, under ‘Open roles’, is at the time of writing, a link to a listing for ‘Senior Back-End Engineer’.
Alternatively go to en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_4.0 and click on the link in the refences.
Thanks.

I’m sorry for posting this

We should add a “Common Rejected Suggestions” to the top of the list to prevent people from having to search through all of those less commonly suggested ideas.

it is sorted by how common the suggestions are rather than when they were added to the list.

here's what it would be:

1. Adding users to work on projects (this was confirmed to be the most commonly suggested feature by ST according to han, who is a YAB member, everything below is just what I've been seeing)
——— SPECULATION ZONE BELOW ———
2. Cloud lists
3. Changing usernames
4. Disabling remixing
5. Revert purple to blue

the Scratch Team is less interested in polling results and more interested in constructive posts on the forums

I don't care! Every half-decent forum has a polling function to allow for collecting much data. More users would take part in a poll than would respond to a thread on forum and results of a poll are easier to analyse. Even if Scratch Team didn't use it, it still would be key forum functionality which Scratch's forum is currently deprived of. The lack of it just makes the forum worse for no actual reason.
The only data obtained from a poll is how many people want vs don't want something, which means nothing to anyone who wants to discuss actual merits, Scratch is not and should not be a direct democracy. When it was discovered that polling functionality was built into the forum's software on April Fool's Day 2022 (I think it was 2022), half the posts were just “haha poll go brrr” ruining forums AFD RIP forums AFD :( —such distracting features should not be implemented.

Should 2.10 be removed? Because this (a ST job listing for for Senior Back-End Engineer that is accessible from the Jobs link in the footer) says it will come in Scratch 4.0.
The job listing states “creative ai” not specifically AI image generation.

That's what the Table of Contents is for, I believe. The original post is already quite long, and adding another section to it would make the whole thing harder to navigate.

If you need to quickly find a section in the post, you can use Ctrl+F to search for a specific word or phrase.

I would consider that already in the list, as a roleplay forum is basically an off-topic forum

Gonna sleep now

It seems that the ST moved the blog post about experimenting with AI in Scratch from scratch.org back to Medium (the link in TOLORS no longer works). It's still at https://medium.com/scratchteam-blog/inside-scratch-lab-ai-image-generation-179f11bd921a

I think that roleplays are classified as text-based games, which are already mentioned in 9.3

Entry 2.10 on this list. However, the job listing just said creative AI, so it could be creating anything, so 2.10 probably won't need removing.

However, it can be used for creating inappropriate information, so I don't really recommend it. However, it is up to the Scratch Team and the Scratch foundation, but we can give ideas

Now that 3.0 blocks have finally reached the forums, there can finally be a realistic ‘when stop sign clicked’ block!
when @stopSign clicked ::events hat

if 4.0 added themes i would make my scratch more personal even it would have the ability to amke your own themes (ignoring TOLORS), even custoizable scratch logo would make your scratch more personal

One's lips could be used to create “inappropriate information,” it's not something that we can avoid by simply not implement a feature. So long as the ST knows what they're doing, we should be ok.

I understand adding the new block designs, by why did they implement stop sign support?

They just slapped in the 3.0 scratchblocks engine that was already made (and used on the wiki) which had @stopSign
