Both the north pole and Antarctica aren't countries. I don't know why it lists Antarctica because nobody lives there. idk choose a random one, most likely Antarctica

im just quoting tolors rn
8.10 Change the list of locations
The list of locations that the Scratch Team uses is determined by an official international standard for the list of countries. The localization team for Scratch has determined that they will continue to go by this standard. As a result, countries will not be added or removed from this list. An exception could be made if the international standard changes, but that is out of the Scratch Team's control.
This suggestion extends to removing the location feature entirely. For more information why that in particular is rejected, see this post.

I think it's usually a mission for research or something. What is the difference between "No location specified where you live" and "The North Pole"?
Sometimes people take vacations in Antarctica. Sometime they go simply to go to the geographic South Pole. Sometimes they're studying the ice. Does it matter why they're there as long as they're using Scratch, for the purposes of the Antarctica option for location? No.

I think Scratch is focusing where people reside rather than if they are just visiting.
On the statistics page, it lists there being 0 people in Antarctica, despite many accounts using it. Probably because they know nobody lives there, even though it's possible to visit that place.
But I suppose if you did visit Antarctica, it would be cool to put it under your profile.
