You're misinterpreting what I said. AI art isn't inherently art theft, especially since the model Scratch Team was previously developing was trained on all public domain images. What I'd personally consider theft (or at the very least deception) is trying to claim AI art as your own. Especially when people start trying to hand those images out to other people as PFPs, or enter them into contests such as DTIYSs or DMCs.

It says creative AI, which would imply image generation or similar.

I don't think there is enough information to draw that conclusion yet. Script generation is creative as well. So is dialog generation and a recommendation algorithm. No sense getting all worked up until there are more facts.
