New scratchers already have a cooldown of 30 seconds, a spambot wouldn’t get scratcher status where the cooldown is 5 seconds.the scratcher cooldown is 10 seconds

Not really. They can still use the double comment glitch.well, it can get worse.
I saw once someone who somehow got a septuple comment glitch.

Heck, no
The forums have a 60 second thing which drives me crazy, forum posts can have up to (i'm not sure but A LOT) of characters, I think the way it is it's fine, new scratchers wait 20-30 seconds for comments seems reasonable, as ban speedrunners/spammers are new scratchers

Well, forums are meant for longer conversations and replies.
Example (profile comment section)
Account 1: how you doing
Account 2: good hru
Example (forum page)
Account 1: Hello Albus2023, how is your day going?
Account 2: I’m doing great, thank you. How about yourself?
Just an example of how forum conversations are longer and more formal.

The current time is plently. Even 30 seconds deters much of the spam.
And if you're still spamming as a Scratcher, you should be banned no contest IMO.

Have you seen [Removed - Please don't use names] profile? All people do is spam. I personally think 30 seconds is not enough.

To simplify, 60 seconds for a New Scratcher and 30 seconds for a Scratcher(#8)new scratcher's will need a long cool down than full scratchers so
Maybe 20-40 seconds??
new scratchers should be about 1 min and
full scratchers should be about 0.5 min

This would be a bad update if it ever came out. Just imagine the amount of delays before you have to make a comment.
I agree with this. Also, people have attention spans longer than that. Not everyone. I, personally, don't have a lot of patience–just something I've always lacked. When I go into one of my random New Scratcher accounts, it doesn't take long for me to go back to this account because I quickly get sick of the current cooldown. I think a longer one is just unnecessary.

True, but most people have attention spans more than a minute.you've got a source for that? have you asked a bunch of scratchers about their attention spans? i doubt it.

The thing is, on average it takes me about 30 seconds to write a comment, while it takes me over a minute to write most forum posts.
So having a 1-minute cooldown on comments would just be extremely annoying, and wouldn't prevent spam all that much- as it is, if you post the same comment a bunch of times and try to post the same thing again you can be stopped from posting the comment, and 30 seconds is more than enough of a cooldown to catch someone copy-pasting a message into a comment a bunch of times.

Spamming has been a big problem on Scratch, especially on profiles like [Removed]. A comment cooldown of 30-60 seconds would easily stop spammers. I know this is already a thing, but you don’t have to wait a long time. Maybe they should also add a viewable timer? We NEED something like this!
They can just spam more after the 1 minute cooldown

For me this but instead cooldown and that if you have this then it may annoy people because what happen if people is in a rush and that they have not a lot of time to reply to someone on the one minute cooldown and that this may be very annoying. Remove character li

If they are in a rush, they would probably write one singular comment, and not a whole bunch.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I have things to do. Like school. But I go on Scratch before doing these things. I might be running out of time but I have some comments to reply to before going to do whatever I must or going wherever. A longer cooldown is rather inconvenient in that situation, and adding on my impatience only makes it worse. It just isn't necessary; the current one is good enough at preventing spammers, etcetera.Uhhh… I don’t know. Could y out give an example of when you would be in such a rush?If they are in a rush, they would probably write one singular comment, and not a whole bunch. But what if they have multiple comments to respond to from different studios/projects/profiles?
