Gobo, Pico, and Nano are probably supposed to be boys, Giga and Tera, girls. Scratch Cat is any gender.

I usually give Scratch Cat the male gender if that helps anything

It has been officially stated that Scratch Cat is non-binary — although I'm sure they'll be fine with whatever you present them as.

Nothing has been officially stated for the other mascots, but I assume they are similarly non-binary.

I don't think it has been “officially stated” the the Scratch Cat is non-binary, either. I think that's just something a Scratch Team member said one time because someone asked and non-binary is the closest option to “not given”.

As far as I know, none of them really have genders. They're not supposed to be characters with backstories. They are images that you use in projects and create with them yourself. So, really the best answer would be: it's up to you!

The mascots aren't really meant to have definitive “identities” (like species, gender, etc). They're sort of meant to be up to the users' creativity and interpretation. This means they basically have no gender. Most people percieve Gobo, Nano and Pico as male while Giga and Tera are viewed as female. It's fine calling them whatever

They do have definitive species. Scratch Cat obviously has one, for example.

Not necessarily. Plants can be male or female (and some of them can be in a state of both simultaneously). They can also be nonbinary, although this is more often seen with very small plants (only a few cells, often one).

To be fair I did not know that plants have genders so maybe gobo is an male plant?

Gobo's gender has not been stated, therefore we cannot assume Gobo is male, female, both, or neither.

they're just images, so you decide their gender in your projects. you can call gobo, scratch cat, pico and nano male, and tera and giga can be considered female.

Fandom's not really a be-all-and-end-all way to detect if something's true or not, it's just a UGC website (like Scratch itself). Sure, there are a lot of stinkers but at the same time there are also a lot of high quality wikis (although some of the creme-la-creme ones like the Minecraft wiki have since moved on to their own hosting - in the case of the MC wiki - or other hosting services - in the case of AVID, a wiki about vanity plates)

I would argue that the more important reason the given link is kinda sussy is because both the link and the post was made by the same person.

The scratch mascots, with the exception of the Scratch Cat (Who, according to Ceebee, is Nonbinary not a boy or a girl if you don't know what that means), don't have confirmed genders, so technically it's up to user interpretation, which can vary depending on who you ask.
