What Platform do you use to make your sprites and backdrops?
This is the best forum type I could find for this type of question (i'm not trying to be off topic)
What Do You Use to Make Sprites/Backdrops?
Personally I use Aseprite to make sprites and backdrops, but I am curious to know what you use to make your sprites and backdrops.

I use the Scratch vector editor. It gets the job done.

Adobe Ilustrator / Scratch Vector Editor / Aseprite
Aseprite costs $20- it is a one-and-done purchase. I highly recommend it for pixel art.
Adobe Illustrator costs $23 a month- as you would expect from an adobe product, it is very powerful (as long as you learn it) although if you're on a budget I cannot recommend it due to being only available as a subscription (and honestly, it's quite expensive). Adobe creative cloud is about $60 a month ($720 a year) though, so it's worth it if you would be using multiple adobe products. (i.e, Animate, Photoshop, Aftereffects, etc.)
You are most likely aware of the Scratch vector editor. It is impossible for me to not recommend it; It runs in your browser, is completely free, and works pretty well from my experience. It gets the job done quite well.
I am also curious on others answers.

I mostly use Inkscape for vectors. I used to use Adobe Illustrator, but it gets quite expensive very quickly.
I find Paint.NET quite good for bitmap editing, but it's Windows-only.

Usually I use the scratch editor, but Kleki Paint is a pretty good website too. It's free, and it's basically just like the scratch editor but with more tools.

The scratch vector is already one of the best and easiest I've used, but the turbowarp editor takes it to a whole other level with onion skinning, 60 fps support, higher aspect ratio. I usually use scratch to make animations but with turbowarp I can make them 16:9 for youtube or 9:16 for youtube shorts

Please do not make polls on the forums. You can do that in a studio.

this probably isn’t a poll, more like a question so they can see which one works for them Please do not make polls on the forums. You can do that in a studio.

This depends on preference/experience but I often use Adobe Create for my projects and school, if you don't have money, the scratch vector editor is a great pick.
