@The4thPixel: Necropost IS allowed in the suggestions forum, as long as the post adds to the topic. Also, telling those people to add to the discussion is kind of pointless, as those posts were made a year ago lol.

Sorry, but, it's not about the necro-post but how constructive it is. If it's spam the topic will probably get closed.

Anyways I don't agree with the suggestion. Many topics can always be brung up and still be valid. No point in auto-closing because then old topics people link just die. Stickies would also get affected. If I forget to post on my sticky it'd just get closed, which is kind of worrying.

I support! A lot of the time I see necroposts that are completely pointless. However, I do think it shouldn’t apply in the suggestions forum (and any if the other ones that necroposting doesn’t exist in).

The entire purpose of a suggestion is to add to the discussion with your own idea. If you parrot another post, you're doing basically nothing and just taking up another kilobyte of space on the server.

Anyways, I don't think this would be good. Especially in forums like suggestions, where the age of the topic doesn't matter, it's the relevance, and I think the current system works well enough.
