-Geometry Dash Revamped Tutorials And Support-
Hello!
This is a thread for helping people create with geometry dash revamped, a GD editor by CaptainFlufBall. feel free to report bugs, or ask questions if you have a problem with your level you want fixed, or just a tutorial!
Commonly Asked Questions:
Q: when I load up the editor, there are many question marks. how do I fix this problem so everything is normal?
A: try reloading the project, if that doesn't work, then try creating your level in turbowarp. turbowarp runs the editor extremely well and can easily get rid of the question marks.
Q: Is the editor mobile friendly?
A: Somewhat. you can navigate the menu and place objects with ease, but the editor has many key shortcuts that can speed up creating significantly. the recommended setup for creating is on a computer with a decent processor (like a desktop, but Chromebook + turbowarp works fine) and a mouse (does not have to be a good mouse, just one with good sensitivity).
Q: How do I save my level so I can play it later or share it?
A: there are many ways, the primary way is to remix the project, and then save your remix often. another way is to save the project as a .sb3 file and then load it to a new project. this is also the way to transfer projects from turbowarp to scratch as well. the third and final method is to click the save button in the pause menu, copy the text, and load it from the level creation screen (which is acsessed by clicking tools icon, then create button, and the folder button). however this method of saving is inconsistent and might corrupt your level, so try the other two options.
Q: How to add music?
A: go inside the project, to the backdrop, delete the blank song and upload the song you want to use from your computer. the songs from the GD main levels can be found in multiple projects. keep in mind the block that plays the song:
Q: The project links to the featured levels studio in several places, is this a studio that I should try to get my projects in so that they get featured?
A: Not really, the studio has become inactive. if you want your levels to get popular or for other people to play them, focus on making it good and then add it to several SGD studios or ask people to verify/beat your level.
Keyboard controls:

the following keybinds are listed in the editor, but not in the description:

R to rotate selected/chosen object clockwise 90 degrees
X to delete selected objects
C to duplicate selected objects (note: duplicate objects will appear 1 below the original on each axis)
Arrow keys to move selected objects one full grid space or 24 units
the following keybinds are listed in the editor, but not in the description:
Z + M to switch between editor mode and playing mode (note: same as above, you wont be able to get rid of the grid until you restart the project)
Space + arrow key to half nudge (half a grid space or 12 units)
V + arrow key for small nudge (1/24th a grid space or 1 unit)
B + left/right arrow key to rotate nudge (90 degrees, left for counterclockwise and right for clockwise)
the following keybinds are not listed in the project at all.
B + Space + left/right arrow key to small rotate nudge (45 degrees, same directions as above)
B + Space + up/down arrow key to change the size of the selected object (by 25% of the current size, up is for bigger and down is for smaller)

the post will be updated with additional info if needed.

can be found in the backround sprite, and is the 6th script from the top. if you have multiple songs, you can drag the MUSIC variable out and select the specific song you want, (if you want sync for a startpos) but otherwise it'll just play the first song.

I'm not even sure show clicks is available in this editor, but it seems like its a relatively easy thing to code: Do you know how to turn on show clicks
1. make a new sprite
2. make 2 costumes one for click and one for not click
3. add the scripts:

Hi, do you know how to use the move trigger?
I am having some difficulty
You need to add a block or a group of blocks for a designated group (where you can set a color channel when you select something.) and then you add a group to it. After so, use the detection box (green circle with a box in it) and then add the move trigger. MAKE SURE TO PLACE THE TRIGGER DOWN AFTER YOU INPUT THE OPTIONS! There is no reset sadly ;(. You should see a few options, and make sure to include the group you put for the blocks in the group option in the trigger. Then use the blue line in the trigger menu to link the detection box to the trigger. Hope this helps! -Finity.

I'm currently working on a longer more detailed reply but, one small correction: there is a way to change the options after you place the trigger and its accessed with the crosshair tool in the triggers tab. just click the trigger and you can set the options againHi, do you know how to use the move trigger?

Update: I'm currently learning how layering works so I can teach people that too, maybe someone who has more finished levels like @zZoink_Games can explain how they work idk.

Thank you all for the advice, but I have one small issue.
I don't know what to do with the detection box. Should I put it where the player is? Somewhere off to the side? Please explain.

so in classic mode the player goes in a consistent speed (without speed portals) to the right, right? well you should put the detection box over where the player arrives, depending on when you want it to activate. think of the level as a timeline, and the further right you go, the further in time the level goes. you should try to place the detection box like a tall rectangle to cover most of the level in classic mode, but if you're making a platformer then you can be more free with it's shape. so basically, yes, where the player goes
