Blink is pretty good but I've always been more of a Green Day and MCR fan. However, if you like Blink-182, you'll likely enjoy Descendents (not the Disney movies but the punk band with the purposefully misspelled name). Blink is heavily influenced by Descendents. I recommend starting with their album Cool to be You (it includes one of my favorite Descendents tracks in the form of 'Merican). Also, just so you know, on Spotify, “Milo Goes to College” is incorrectly listed as a 2022 album despite being from the early 80s.

It isn't really a song, but if you listen to their live album, there is a song called “Family Reunion” that is full of curse words. Also, you should listen to their albums, like “Enema of the State” or “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket” the two songs I've heard from them are “All The Small Things” and “Happy Holidays, {bad word}”

What is punk?
Punk Rock
Punk rock is a genre of rock music influenced by glam rock, proto-punk, pub rock, garage rock, and surf rock. It developed alongside a subculture that was very anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian. The Ramones are often credited as the first punk band. It had some mainstream attention when it first developed, with bands such as the Ramones being signed to major labels, but eventually fell back into the underground. That is, until bands such as Green Day and The Offspring revitalized interest in the genre.
Examples of Punk Subgenres
Punk rock: The basic sound of punk. Two bands from this genre are the Ramones and Green Day (Billie Joe dislikes being referred to as a pop-punk songwriter, plus Green Day feels less poppy than other bands from the genre).
Pop-punk: A fusion of punk rock, power-pop, and pop. Bands include Blink-182 and Simple Plan.
Hardcore Punk/Post-Hardcore: Hardcore is my personal favorite subgenre of punk. No matter what regional scene, punk was always destined to get faster and more aggressive, and this is the United States version of that. Bands include early Descendents and Higher Power. Post-hardcore is just hardcore but with more experimentation. I am not big into post-hardcore so I am unable to list any bands (most of the ones I could mention are also emo).
Crust Punk: This one really isn't for me to be honest. Crust punk is the UK's attempt at making punk fast and loud. Bands include Discharge and Nails
Grindcore: An extreme fusion of crust punk, hardcore punk, death metal, and noise rock. I really like the band Cutting Pink With Knives.
Punk Rap: Punk rock combined with hip hop (more commonly referred to as rap music).
Rapcore: A form of punk rap and rap metal that takes influence from punk, metal, rap, and, occasionally, funk. On the punk side, you have bands like Zebrahead (check out their album Broadcast to the World). On the more metal side of things, you have stuff such as nu metal/rapcore band Linkin Park. This is my personal cup of tea when it comes to punk rap music.
What is emo?
Emo Rock
Emo rock is a genre of rock that spawned off of the Washington DC hardcore punk scene. It started when bands such as Rites of Spring (the first emo band) experimented with slower riffs and more introspective and emotional lyrics.
Examples of Emo Subgenres
“Real” Emo: Early stuff like Rites of Spring and Embrace.
Emo Pop: Emo combined with pop-punk. Bands include Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and My Chemical Romance.
Midwest Emo: Emo combined with indie rock and math rock. Bands include American Football, The Casper Fight Scene (my personal favorite out of this subgenre), and Small Comforts. You can also talk about midwest emo in this topic due to the overlap.
Screamo: A more aggressive form of emo pioneered by bands such as Antioch Arrow. Bands include Antioch Arrow and I Hate Myself.
