Improve Scratch Tutorials!
SCRATCH TUTORIALS SHOULD BE FIXED!!!
Let's be real; Scratch tutorials are seriously lacking. Sure, they do cover the basics, but who is actually using “Animate an Adventure Game” in 2024? Who even uses Cartoon Network's extensions for Scratch? .. Nobody! I've put together a list of new tutorials that will at least be used more, rather than making cookie cutter made-in-less-than-an-hour “GAMES.”
MY NEW TUTORIALS LIST PROPOSITION:
- Getting Started
- Make It Move (How to use Motion blocks)
- Speak Up, Sprite! (How to make sprites talk)
- Costume Editing (How to change costumes and backdrops)
- Rainbow Sprites (How to use effects)
- Layering (How to use the layer blocks)
- “Meow!” (How to use sound blocks)
- Starting your Project (How to use event blocks)
- Broadcasting Messages (How to use events)
- Controlling your Project (How to use control blocks)
- Clones (Pretty self-explanatory)
- Sensing (Pretty self-explanatory)
- Operations and Math (Pretty self-explanatory)
- Round and Round and Mod (How to use the round blocks and mod blocks)
- Variables and Lists (Pretty self-explanatory)
- Creating a block (How to use custom blocks)
- How to use the Costume Editor (Pretty self-explanatory)
- How to use the Sound Editor (Pretty self-explanatory)
- Tips and Tricks (A miscellaneous tutorial, with tips on how to make better projects.)
Not only does this new list help teach people how to code on Scratch more, which is the entire point of Scratch, it also allows for an easier learning experience for people planning to make games and such. These tutorials are still easy, but at least teach more than the current Scratch tutorials.
Now, I know some of you will dislike my ideas. That's fine. Disagreement is part of every community! This is just how I would remake them I welcome feedback in the replies, I like it when that happens! Cya later

Bruv, you should make a studio based on your ideas on that! Because those ideas are really good.
I can help too, if necessary.

yeah! I was actually thinking in the studio, each project can be dedicated to all the new blocks added in each new extention, and also the new blocks in the Music extention, now that I think it will support General Midi, and not “MiDiMiNi” as I like to call it. Bruv, you should make a studio based on your ideas on that! Because those ideas are really good.

Do it, we'll be there for you! I honestly want YOU to be the leader of scratch, based on those ideas of yours.
I know a guy who's really good at coding and tutorials, who can at least implement some, if not, ALL of them, especially the physics ones!

Please make a separate topic for each of your extensions suggestions instead of putting them in a topic with an unrelated suggestion. Thank you!

yeah, but I aint an adult and I don't work at MIT. Also, I think you're talking about Griffpatch? I love that guy, I think I have Griffpatch's level of coding, but traded for creativity instead. Do it, we'll be there for you! I honestly want YOU to be the leader of scratch, based on those ideas of yours.

With that many features, just mod Scratch instead.

No bruv. He is too famous. I know a guy who is underrated and also the skill level of Griffpatch. Bruv, Griffpatch isn't the only guy good at physics. I know people even BETTER than him at stuff like physics.yeah, but I aint an adult and I don't work at MIT. Also, I think you're talking about Griffpatch? You can keep the ‘'Improve Scratch Tutorials’' suggestion in this topic, and then make a separate topic for each of your extension suggestions [as in one extension per topic]. I wouldn't recommend making too much topics at the same time as it might count as spamming, though..oh, uhh thanks for the suggestion! how should I do it, since you said “unrelated suggestion.”? Making the studio is already a step to your idea. We can do progress like that.

I would do that, except I don't know how to mod Scratch. I barely know javascript! With that many features, just mod Scratch instead.

ah, I understand that. I'll go with that soon. I'm still gonna keep the tutorials part, and put the extention ideas on a google doc. That way, I can think of more full extensions, that aren't 2-4 blocks. I also will come up with mockups of how they could be used!
