Get the Griffpatch Tutorials on Scratch

There is a tutorial in the editor; but what if it had griffpatch tutorials????
But why??? Griffpatch has comments enabled on his videos, which could allow mean users to bully children.

No support, Griffpatch's tutorials are easy to find, and having a section for tutorials from 1 user may seem unfair to some.

Yes, but tutorials are also meant to be simple, and Griffpatch's tutorials are quite advanced, and can be confusing for New Scratchers.

i am a bit on the fence here because while griffpatch does actually have amazing tutorials that do genuinely educate people, there aren’t other reasons to do so besides free advertising…

you can embed the video into a scratch link, which lets you watch the video without showing any comments. funnily enough, i don’t think i have seen a single vile comment on a griffpatch video; not even youtube bots. and i did scroll through a few of these.

It takes like 3 seconds (depending on internet speed) to find a griffpatch tutorial. I don’t see why this is needed since Scratch doesn’t endorse griffpatch. Plus it’s just a good skill to be able to find what you are looking for quickly without having it handed to you.

What if griffpatch doesn't want Scratch to steal his videos? They would actually be hurting his profit. He makes his own Youtube videos, and makes them for his own purpose. The Scratch Team (and I mean this legally,) cannot just waltz in, download his content, and paste them into their own website.

There are a few other check marks of fair use which would have to be met to have it considered in court.

I'm not sure about the legal part, but I still think that griffpatch should have some say in this.

Last I checked ScratchStats (before it went down) @griffpatch was at the top of the list of users ordered by number of followers, least to greatest.

Anyways, this suggestion would require either that anyone be able to add their own tutorials, or endorsing @griffpatch's tutorials.

In addition, because of Griffpatch Academy and the fact that @griffpatch has [unnameable browser extension] both installed and likes to promote it, I don't think the ST will add this, ever.

It's also not hard to just go to his profile and just copy+paste the YouTube URL on it into an address bar.

Griffpatch is not an official member of the Scratch Team. Also, his tutorials are relatively complex, not fitting with the tutorial page.
