BACKSTORY:

Buzzbug met Kānuka (NPC) late into apprenticehood, and fell quickly. She was a loner, living near the edge of flurryclan territory, and every day he'd beg her to return to the clan with him. Every day she would deny the offer, saying she prefers being alone, and Buzzbug would return to camp, going about his job as medic as if her refusal didn't hurt.

After he became a full medic, Buzzbug started visiting her more. They'd stay up until the sun rose above the horizon, telling stories, laughing and picking flowers. One day he snuck to the border to visit Kānuka, just like usual. But she seemed off- acting flighty and paranoid. He decided to let her rest, and returned to camp.

But the day after that, and the next- every time he went to the border she was nowhere to be seen. Ready to give up hope, he told himself he would search one last time. At last, almost two moons later, he found her. But she wasn't alone- the she-cat had three kits with her. His kits.

Buzzbug was relieved to see her, but she didn't carry quite the same love for him any more. She revealed that all this time she was an escaped kittypet, trying to get by as a loner. But life as a wild cat wasn't quite what she had expected, and she was going to return to being a house cat. Not only that, she was going to take their kits with her.

Buzzbug, for the lack of a better word, freaked out. He wasn't going to let her get away with stealing his kits, especially not to become lazy kittypets! They fought, and Buzzbug won. The she-cat had never been strong, after all, and he had had his fair share of spars despite being a medic. Tears in his eyes, he drove her off, collecting his kits and bringing them back to flurryclan. They would live in the clan. A good life. A proper one, not a life with twolegs.

Though he didn't tell anyone that the kits were his, any cat with eyes could tell. The colors in their pelts were the same, as were their eyes- but it was obvious he didn't want to talk about it. The kits will grow up knowing the identity of their mother, but for the rest of the clan it will be kept a semi-open secret.

PARENTING STYLE:

Despite the negative memories of their mother, Buzzy will be thrilled to be able to raise his own kits. By nature Buzzy is very protective and cares a lot about the kits of flurryclan, something that only grows when they're his by blood. Buzzbug will be a very active dad, who will make his kits his whole world. He'll always have time to play, and has an array of stories to tell them. He would want to be called dad, or a nickname derived from his name, like ‘Zee’ or ‘Bug.’

He'd also be a very active user of nicknames, trying out various different ones on each kit. He loves giving gifts, so expect the kits to be showered in flowers, feathers and cool looking rocks :3 Buzzbug has very strong morals and his own sense of right and wrong. If one of his kits were to go against these ideas, he'd be upset. At the end of the day, though, unless they were seriously harming multiple cats, he will always take his kit's side.
