The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
(#8956)That was posted after I linked to the thread… but fair enough. The suggestion I linked is explicitly not rejected, so it's not a good example.I post from Paddle2see at the top of page 5 of that topic revels that it isn't rejected in the context of a specific block for it, rather than having it work in any comparing operator.(#8939)I was able to find this one from 2018.Make a true equation with <(5-5) = (0)> format return tru just got rejected. There have been suggestions before about typing in an equation/expression and having Scratch automatically solve/evaluate it, right? I don't think this is the only time this has been suggested. I am interested in adding this to the list, but I'd like to see when else this has been suggested.

no, its good to post any newly rejected suggestions here so za-chary can keep track of them better and it allows for discussions about whether or not something would be good to add Guys, Stop suggesting rejected suggestions to TOLORS if there is barely any topics about that rejected suggestion. I think we need 3 or 4+ rejected topics per month for OP to add it, also, it shouldn't be a joke or spam topic.

Whatever you are trying to ask would be asked better as its own topic, and you'd need to specify what's doing 0 to 100. wy does it do from 0 to 100

The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
I forgot to remind, whoop. I've been using the post/ID links whenever I add a new entry to the list. This is something I want to do, but I haven't had the chance to do it. Now that the forums load quickly, I may be able to do it faster. When I finish writing this post, I'll update some of them at least in Section 2, and see if I can continue this later.
Doesn't seem like anyone else has, so uh…
Reminder
EDIT:
Also, 7.4 uses the /jobs link, rather than scratch.org; could that be updated?
To save time, here (also updates the post url, if i have enough freetime i'll try doing the other section link replacements for the sake of timesave as well)
[b]7.4 [url=https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/3513044]Allow Scratchers to moderate the website[/url][/b] A community moderator program used to exist where Scratchers could moderate the website, but it was removed due to some very inappropriate things showing up in the report queue, among other reasons. A volunteer program could also encourage trolls to use moderator tools to cause problems on the website. As a result, the Scratch Team has decided to only allow adults to moderate the website, including the forums, and those adults would need to join the Scratch Team as a paid position in order to moderate the website. If you are 18 or older, legally allowed to work in the United States, and are interested in moderating the website, check out the [url=https://scratch.org/careers]Jobs[/url] link to see if there are any openings for the "Community Moderator" position.

Allowing younger people (under 18s) to join ST was rejected
I'm almost certain there are a few other topics suggesting this but I'm gonna have to find them on ocular
This could be added as a “This extends to …” in 7.4

whateverAge doesn't matter in the suggestions forum, and that topic isn't even old compared to some topics that are still actively being discussed! All starting over would do is force repetition of everything that had already been said.but its old and not solved in any way. we might as well start over if we start to appeal to that topic(#8943)it's still relevant today
thats from 2018. is there a newer one?

The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
A studio for studios has been closed, but not rejected. It was a dupe and now they are going to the old one.
Newest one closed: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/782910/
Oldest one being used: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/28804/
Also, people are calling this accepted because @Paddle2See was really enthusiastic about it and commented on it without even closing it! (there has got to be something there if he comments and not closes it!!! )
Question for Za-Chary: Could there be a official list of accepted suggestions??? Like sorted from A-Z to decrease topic dupes?

This is not The Official List of Closed Suggestions. Please only link a topic if it is rejected. A studio for studios has been closed, but not rejected. It was a dupe and now they are going to the old one.

If a moderator supports a suggestion, that does not render it accepted.

The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
(#8979)Not necessarily. A suggestion isn't “accepted” until the Scratch Team confirms they are implementing it.
Also, people are calling this accepted because @Paddle2See was really enthusiastic about it and commented on it without even closing it! (there has got to be something there if he comments and not closes it!!! )
However, the fact that @Paddle2See liked the idea is a very good sign—it could very well be accepted in the future.
This suggestion is on the rejected list. Question for Za-Chary: Could there be a official list of accepted suggestions??? Like sorted from A-Z to decrease topic dupes?
9.4 An official list of accepted suggestions
As a counterpart to the list of rejected suggestions, some Scratchers have expressed interest in compiling a list of features of Scratch that were suggested by someone, and eventually implemented. But it is not easy to tell whether a suggestion was implemented because it was suggested by Scratchers in the forums, Scratchers elsewhere, a Scratch Team member, a teacher, or someone else. In other words, every feature currently in Scratch was suggested by somebody, so such a list would just be a list of all features of Scratch.

The Official List of Rejected Suggestions
Thanks! This is the one I was thinking of, but @Paddle2See confirms that this is not rejected — it is a different suggestion. So I probably won't add @Catscratcher07's linked suggestion to the list for now, seeing as this suggestion is not frequently-suggested.(#8939)I was able to find this one from 2018.Make a true equation with <(5-5) = (0)> format return tru just got rejected. There have been suggestions before about typing in an equation/expression and having Scratch automatically solve/evaluate it, right? I don't think this is the only time this has been suggested. I am interested in adding this to the list, but I'd like to see when else this has been suggested.
Roman numeral blocks got rejected. Thanks! I probably don't need to add it at this time.
Also, please don't make multiple posts for the same thing. I check TOLORS once per weekend. If I make a new post in this thread but I don't respond to your particular post, then you can bump it if you need a response from me.
I encourage everybody to share newly-rejected suggestions in this thread. Even if the suggestion is “obviously rejected” or “infrequently suggested,” it's good for me to be aware that it was suggested and rejected so I can keep this in mind for the future, in case the suggestion ever does become “frequently suggested.” Guys, Stop suggesting rejected suggestions to TOLORS if there is barely any topics about that rejected suggestion. I think we need 3 or 4+ rejected topics per month for OP to add it, also, it shouldn't be a joke or spam topic.
I gotta do grocery shopping and other things soon, so I might not be able to get to this today. Please continue to remind me as you think of it.I forgot to remind, whoop.
Reminder
There is an inconsistency between the two links — /jobs claims that there are no positions open, but scratch.org lists several open positions. So it is unclear to me which one is correct. The /jobs link is what is used at the bottom of the scratch.mit.edu website, so this is the link I will continue to use until further notice; I am open to changing it if a Scratch Team member confirms that scratch.org is now the official place to show new job openings. Also, 7.4 uses the /jobs link, rather than scratch.org; could that be updated?
Allowing younger people (under 18s) to join ST was rejectedI don't think I need to add anything; 7.4 already makes it clear that only adults can moderate the website.
I'm almost certain there are a few other topics suggesting this but I'm gonna have to find them on ocular
This could be added as a “This extends to …” in 7.4
Thanks, but in this thread I only need to know about the suggestions that are actually rejected. No need to link a topic here if it was merely determined to be a duplicate of another suggestion. A studio for studios has been closed, but not rejected. It was a dupe and now they are going to the old one.
If you are looking for a list of already-suggested suggestions, see the Question for Za-Chary: Could there be a official list of accepted suggestions??? Like sorted from A-Z to decrease topic dupes? Suggestions Directory.
If you are looking for a list of already-implemented suggestions, see 9.4 on this rejected suggestions list for more information on why there won't be one.
It's unclear where you got this link; this particular link is not in TOLORS. Here is the link explaining why there will be no list of accepted suggestions: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/4426090/where's the link? https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/371581/?page=1#post-3718725 (deadlinked)

(#8989)It's great that you want to share your ideas! However, this thread is for listing rejected suggestions, and isn't a good place for making new suggestions.
here's a block, this will be really useful for a lot of people, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody had this idea, I will also show its use, also another block that's cool, ill show that one.:< [mouse-pointer v] touching [sprite1 v] ?>say [this would be rly useful! plz add it.]when green flag clicked
forever
if << [mouse-pointer v] touching [Settings icon v] ?>> then
if <(Settings Open) = [True]> then
set [Settings Open v] to [False]
wait (0.05) secs
else
set [Settings Open v] to [True]
wait (0.05) secs
end
end
endtransition backdrop from [backdrop1 v] to [backdrop2 v]transition costume from [costume1 v] to [costume2 v]
Instead, I encourage you to create a new topic for each of your ideas so they can gather feedback.
