It's a good Idea but I think it could be abused to make inappropriate sounds (like a guy or girl saying a word that shouldn't be said on scratch for a good example or something else I shouldn't say on a kids coding website) but if it has the same restrictions as the text to speech extencion. (If you try to make it say “not good for scratch” words or what teachers call “Potty talk” it will say nothing then I think it could be good but yeah if those potential problems didn't exist I'd fully support

@alpha_ape_13 Thats litteraly what im saying words wouldn't count as sounds it would make sfx and background music and that kind of stuff.

And what do you think real developers do? Scratch isn't made to be quicker or more convenient, it's meant to teach you how to make games.

But you can still generate AI songs on another free website, change a few things to make it sound better, and then use that in Scratch. That's what I did for my project. Takes about 5 minutes per song. (Don't expect the songs to be any good though)

For some reason it's censored on the forums. It starts with a B and ends with a B

What is with this AI generation craze!? Just use a free sound library to be honest! I highly doubt you'll have ANY issue finding a sound you need unless it's mega specific, which in that case just combine sounds!

It would just be easier for it to already be in scratch.

Then why not just have scratch give us more sound effects in their library?

It would take a lot of work for the Scratch Team to find a copyright-free library and import it here into Scratch.
It's a lot easier to just find it and import it yourself.

Scratch could at least add more sounds to the library

Never heard of an AI sound generator outside of this before, so there must be very few.
One of the reasons why AI images weren't allowed is because of the high cost.
Sound generators must be MUCH more expensive, causing a problem here.

we DON'T NEED anymore sounds in the library, we have 397 sounds in the sound library already!
yes, I counted.

If you want more, download them from some resource and import them into scratch.
Just make sure to give credit, it's not that hard.
