Shadowban people who are trying to ban speedrun

What about IP range bans
There's not really an effective solution, the best we could do to prevent IP ban evasion is to block Tor users from using the site, but then people who wanted to use Scratch in a region where it is censored would not be able to.

This is kind of an extreme, but it's an extreme I fully agree with - you're one of the only ones who didn't look at it purely from a Scratch angle of things.

Think about it for a second and it will make sense. At first I thought it was extreme but I thought about it and now I completely agree.

No support. Unfortunately, I don't feel like this would solve the issue.
People would probably just start doing “Shadow block speedruns” instead and use some kind of addon to detect when they have been shadow blocked.

I personally feel like the Scratch Team would much rather hand out blocks on a case-by-case basis. There's not much they can do to stop block speedrunner aside from IP blocking them which might not always work.

On another note, I feel like Scratch Team wouldn't want to implement shadow blocking, as not only would it hardly be used if you really think about it, shadow blocking is lying to the user who has been blocked which goes against their “Be honest” policy in the community guidelines.

IP Banning could be used for ban speedrunners, but personally I think it should only be used when a ban speedrunner is being extremely inappropriate or there's evidence of them recording it/previous speedruns for youtube.
