Why should the Scratch Team change the Scratch logo?

The Scratch logo is already good enough as is. The letters aren't perfectly aligned, it's got a recognizable font and color.

As simplistic as it is, less is more. Why do you think companies started oversimplifying their logos?

yes, I agree

If the letters were purple, It would blend in with the site theme, and so therefore it wouldn’t pop out as much as it does today.

I know for sure that there are duplicates for these suggestions, but they've been buried.
