Have I found the ACTUAL oldest project?
So, as most people know, using Turbowarp, unshared projects became essentially public, before it got taken down. Most went to check the first project ever, selecting the ID 1, but the project that was there wasn't the actual first project.
It was overwritten with tests for 2.0.
Now, that was a shame, but I found an extremely rare snapshot from the Internet Archive that is of the real first project, before it being overwritten.
It was titled ‘Lil Devil And Angel’ and its notes were ‘Lil Devil chats with Angel about what’s going on', being posted by @evelyn.
Now, I won't share where I found this, but it's pretty easy.
I believe to have access to the project.
It starts of with lil angel speaking: ‘What’s up, lil' angel?', to which she responds ‘Nothin’ much, lil devil, just chillin'."
I want to know if the project that I had previously seen is real, but judging by the snapshot, it appears to match up perfectly. Even the thumbnail is the same. Still, I'm unsure. Where could it have been found? Why? What scratch version was used? When was it originally uploaded?
I don't know.
If anybody has an answer, please tell me.

Because I'm not sure if Wayback is gonna get me paused. Either way, somebody else previously reuploaded it. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/788602049/
Here's the homepage: https://web.archive.org/web/20070112191743/https://www.scratchr.org/
Scroll down, and select ‘lil devil and angel’.

isn’t the actual oldest project is the project id 104 or smth? it’s just by memory but i don’t think that’s the oldest project, since the person doesn’t seem to be a scratch team member, most oldest projects are for testing

Also, a bit of trivia: The last .sb3 file present on alpha.scratchr.org according to Wayback is project ID 103, so the projects on that website are likely the “true” projects 1-103. That could also mean the scratch.mit.edu database might have been based on scratchr.org at one point, and projects 1-103 were deleted from there prior to release.

Yeah, it's extremely interesting to see Scratch before the first 103 projects were overwritten with tests for a now broken extension, ‘Map Scratch.’ Strangely enough, the second ever project doesn't seem to be downloadable?

(#9)yeah i have 1.4 2.0 3.0 desktop versions installed too, but when i loaded the project in mine, the audio is even more crunchy/compressed than the linked reupload. I think that's as good as it can get though, not everyone had good microphones built in at the time.
alr here's what it looks like in scratch 1.4

(#10)Yeah, because I guess the rest of all these projects weren't crawled by the wayback machine soon enough. Only the first one because, you know, it's the first one and people are excited.

Quite fascinating, but it's a shame that the second project doesn't exist. It's lost media, even, and we don't quite know what it was about besides being about snowmen in Boston?
Evelyn got wiped, and her username is now taken by somebody else on an account from 11 years ago. Same thing happens to GDPR'd accounts though. I wonder if the first GDPR'd profile is actually @evelyn herself.
Wait could this be big

I have also gone down an extremely deep rabbithole and miraculously, the original @evelyn's account was properly archived.
Her only friend was Mitch Resnick himself. https://web.archive.org/web/20070220145335/http://alpha.scratchr.org/users/mres That's super weird.

Also, this can be found on my archive too already:
https://github.com/medlans/2.0-Archives (by the way, it says 2.0 archives, but that's because this was originally made for 2.0, though it now has more)
This is definitely not the oldest project though, and is just the project with id 1, as it has the say nothing block, and I doubt it.

Thank you so, so, so much!
But I've a question: On the secondary project, it just refuses to load. Why?
