Hi!I would like to know how to make an alt account,but idk how

You just sign out of your account and create a new one the same way you created your first one. Do not create an alt account to go against ToU on, and also I don't think this really fits Project Save and Level Codes.

Do not create accounts to evade bans also.

Making alt accounts is generally fine(I lost track of how many I have), but most of those are namesnipes, joke accounts, one alt's username(Thylatank, my current online alias) is to prevent impersonators from snatching it, and one is a burner to hide from someone problematic(it's a long story). Nothing malicious.

If you use alt accounts to break the TOS, impersonate/frame someone else, give yourself more followers/views/etc, or otherwise harms the Scratch community or gives you an unfair/unjustified advantage, you might get punished.

Side note, are burner accounts, made specifically to continue using the site while also hiding from bullies/stalkers/creeps that have harassed you on your main, allowed/justified?

Committing the ToU (Which—I assume you misunderstood the meaning—actually means to commit to following the ToU.) is good. Breaking the ToU is not.

I am not sure why anyone would ever think it is allowed.
I would consider this to be somewhat equivalent of ban speedrunning—Albeit with different intents, though both are against the rules regardless.

im pretty sure that giving yourself more followers is allowed its pretty much harmless

I don't think you read the post right.

It's a burner account, that uses the website normally and as intended, but is meant to so you can avoid someone that's bothering you. There's no direct mentions on the burner acc for why it exists, and I try to follow the guidelines.

I had someone stalk and harass me on my main and some of my alts, and he once used one of my vectors for something malicious. He's now banned, but I think he can still access my profile and projects. I made a burner specifically so the stalker wouldn't bother me, not to cause trouble.

Apologies; I thought you meant a burner account made for stalking/harrasing/bullying and getting away with it.
In that case, it indeed is allowed. As well as “anonymous” accounts for posting and sharing things (that are not against the CG nor ToU) that you may not want to be associated with your identity for whichever reason.

Remember there is a difference between creating an alternative account specifically for following yourself, and just following yourself with an alternative account

While this is true, I believe @wesnothplayer meant that you're “allowed” (you aren't) to create accounts for the sole purpose of giving yourself follows

sure, but just report the bullies out of existence on every single comment they make

Why does this topic have to be 15 posts, it's all of you guys telling this guy what to do, just press the join scratch button and put what you want and do what you want on it

Do NOT use the same password. If your main gets hacked, you may want to log into your alt to continue using Scratch. However, if your password is the same as your main, your alt can be hacked.

Use different passwords for all of your accounts.
