Not fully… Actually, if we could have an option to have a rectangular screen so we can have a ‘truly’ fullscreen mode, that would be nice.
Then we'd need to change the screen resolution in the editor.

Why don't you support? What's the disadvantage?
Because I hate game sites that do that.
Then make it optional.

I don't use this feature much on sites but I think it could be a nice and simple addition for the people who do! Support

Use MSU and do this:

Under Color Theme
Main Color: #081721
Dark Color: #26231C
Text Color: #4D4D4D

Under Theme Effects
Enable Background: Check
Background Image URL: http://i.cubeupload.com/Vjkkki.jpg

And it will look this:

Well I hate twitter, but that doesn't mean I object to following others simply because it is a feature of a site I don't like.

Why don't you like it? What disadvantage does it have?
It just looks it's gonna infect your computer with a virus. Oh and it hurts my eyes to have something that is bright but the rest is dark. Plus I couldn't love it or fav it. If they made “Scratch for the Nintendo Wii” then you could do it for that.

What? xD

1. Could give you a virus … Uhh no

2. Hurts your eyes … Most people are completely the opposite, and this would be optional anyways

3. Couldn't love or fave … I don't understand why you couldn't do that

4. If they made “Scratch for the Nintendo Wii” then you could do it for that … Are you saying this as a con?

I agree with this if it is only in fullscreen, unless the ST was to bring into an entire theme function to the website, which is unlikely

1. I've had a virus once that done something similar.
2. This idea isn't supposed to be “optional”
3. Because it would only focus on the project, blacking out everything else
4. No, but this idea would work better on a console Scratch.

I don't understand the point in saying no support. It's not like it would effect the main functionality. It would just add to the experience. Sorry, but not every feature has to be “necessary”.

1. If Scratch wanted to give you a virus you would already have one.
2. Why would you think that? The OP says it would be an option…
3. See 2
4. You're arguing that if a suggestion gets implemented (which is very unlikely in this case) than this suggestion won't work.

  1. Which means that viruses can make dark screens, not the other way around.
  2. Suggestions can be altered. If it being optional makes things better it will be that way.
  3. We're not going to black out everything. We're just going to black out the white background. The love its section will be rendered so it's still visible of course.

Unfortunately, you can't add things unless people are actually going to use it. It's like adding a

draw a blue tricycle::pen

block in the Scratch palette. Basically 100% of people will find it useless, but it “adds to the experience”, right?

Well, the difference is nobody has requested or ever wanted that. There is interest for this. And it's not like every other programming tool has something that does that. This feature is actually present in many other websites.

I personally support, anyway, but I think if somebody really wanted this, they'd install a userscript or userstyle to do it for them. Of course, it isn't as accessible that way.

1. Not all viruses black out a screen. I had one that put adware on all the browsers and the ads had swear words in them.
2 & 3. Umm…
4. Please stop. The topic will be closed soon if this continues.

I don't want to continue flaming but I've been lurking while you all have been arguing about this, and I just want to put my 2 cents in:

Unless you're using Internet Explorer (which you shouldn't be, not just because of its terrible security), it's impossible for you to get a virus without actually downloading anything. I repeat, impossible. Web sites cannot in any way infect your computer with viruses.

This is for future reference, in case anyone's about to say no support because of this dude341 character.

Actually Firefox can do that but I am using a Mac right now.
I don't want to be in the flame anymore.
