Hey guys. I need help with my 3DS. My outer cameras only work in certain games. Mii Maker, Amiibo Camera (ACNL) and pretty much only games that use the camera as a side feature. Model: CTR-001 3DS (2011)

What do you mean? Like you cant swap to the outer cameras in the camera app or they just display blank?

They display blank, and sometimes it even crashes the entire 3DS on the camera app.

mod your 3ds and try to trigger the camera crash and then compare your exception screen with this list https://wiki.hacks.guide/wiki/3DS:Error_screens/Luma3DS_exception_screen and then run 3ds hw test https://wiki.hacks.guide/wiki/3DS:Hardware_test and follow the instructions there and tell how many errors you got

OKAY, I just wanna know if there's a way to fix it without modding.

The modding part is literally for convienece and without modding your console to get a log theres quite literally not a way to get the logs to know whats happening. And like legit the guide is already stupidly easy, i did it when i was 8 (And i'm not kidding) so if you can use scratch then you probably can follow it. And there's quite literally 0% chance to break it unless you try to on purpose just try it actually you will not regret it

Only thing i could think of is replace the camera, but idk how and what is happening because the only info is “camera is blank and sometimes crashes” like ask the people in the nintendo homebrew server and that's what they could only say without you modding it is to replace the camera. So you brought this upon yourself

No, it isn't the camera, cuz the camera works in ACNL, Mii maker, etc. But not in Camera, AR games, or face raiders.

Are the camera effects set to default? (like brightness, contrast and all that.)

Yeah. The camera just displays black, and crashes the entire camera app and softlocks the entire system

Yes, but they're all deleted now.
I could try to factory reset my 3DS, I have nothing digitally I really care about. All my data is in cartridges.
