You do not need to tell people to “be constructive” if the reason is something obvious.SupportPlease be constructive.
Sorry, I made a dupe.

Bumping because I saw a dupe. I will share my own opinion on this suggestion when I think about it enough to form one.

I believe that this would ultimately help with the code part of Scratch, so support. Should the block go in the motion category or the variables category?

SUPPORT!!!
though i am slightly disappointed that my totally detailed post was a dupe, i’m still glad other people have thought the same since 2013. also sorry if this is a necropost, i’m assuming it isn’t since i suggested the same thing recently.
edit: i can’t read. there’s several other replies that are more recent than in 2013. silly me.

It's workaroundable only if you move the variable to just a few known positions or if you generate 172800 variables with an external tool and the scripts that'll show hide and set them. actually no because the variables don't update when showing them until the next frame, so this breaks the workaround for constantly moving variables that can change their valuesuppport! even though this is workaroundable, i still support!It's not workaround able. Support.

i bump this because:
this will really help in my variable animations, so that i dont have to make 40000 variables just to make a smooth variable animation!

I created some block Ideas for the blocksI think it should just resemble the motion blocks in name, like this:
set [var v] x to ()::variablesThere would be change and y position blocks too
set [var v] x position to ()::variables //alternate name
move variable [var v] to x: () y: ()::variables
