I like the current pride emoji, but could you update it to include intersex? I feel like it would be more inclusive.

If you want to know what emoji I’m talking about type _pride_ in your profile or comment section of a project of yours or something.

emojis shouldn't have lots of detail because they are quite small and any detail you add will be either unnoticeable, or clutter everything.

this is the current emoji it is quite small (48x48) adding an extra detail would be difficult given the small size. https://cdn.scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2/static/__f17a70240ea1b997b429416c7f10eabf__/images/easter_eggs/pride.png

Editing the emoji would entail editing this https://github.com/scratchfoundation/scratch-www/blob/develop/static/images/emoji/pride.png and then pushing it to scratch or something.

YOU WANT MORE INCLUSIVENESS?!?! The rainbow represents everyone. That was it's original purpose.

But the rainbow flag is supposed to include every member of the LGBTQ community—Adding intersex (or even transgender, which we already have in the flag) to the rainbow suggests the idea that it does not, so that also suggests the idea that we need to slam all the flags into the rainbow flag to be inclusive, when in reality the rainbow flag was supposed to represent every LGBTQ identity, including intersex and transgenderism.

What I was thinking is we change the flag to have the intersex inclusive progress pride flag instead. People wouldn't have made it into a flag if they didn't feel that it wasn't inclusive enough. Plus, the rainbow flag is most commonly associated with gay, bisexual, pansexual, and mostly sexual identities rather than gender identities, so some may feel as if that's not inclusive enough, or as if they're left out. And intersex is different than transgender, as it's different from identifing as a gender thats different from your assigned gender at birth. I believe it's something biological, (please correct me if I'm wrong) so intersex people might feel more included if it were there.

Okay, but I don't see any intersex people complaining?

Also, scratch isn't going to do that. Only reason why scratch added a pride emoji was to please the LGBT crowd.

I beg your pardon?
It’s not very unlikely that they’d do something like this—Scratch Team does advocate LGBTQ.
I am stating a fact; That Scratch Team advocates LGBTQ, however this does not imply whether I advocate it or not—Just putting this out there.

Sure. But keep in mind that it is a company. It's just like how Sony and XBOX and all of those big companies go Rainbow in June and then conveniently stop when it's over.

I'm glad that scratch kept the pride flag, but if you want to change the pride flag to be inclusive, change the BLM emoji to include all black skintones, etc.

See how it opens a can of worms? Be happy we got our flag, eh?

If you don't like my opinion because I'm not LGBT, I'm actually Aromantic. :)

I do agree with this point;
Again, adding intersex implies that we need every LGBTQ identity slammed in there.

The rainbow represents all sexual identities, the trans flag represents all gender identities, and the intersex flag represents intersex people. The Intersex indetity has its own thing because it's different, and by adding the intersex flag we will represent everybody and there will be no need to add any more.

Edit: fixed a typo.

I know how the LGBT is a sensitive topic to some people, especially if they cannot agree with it because of religious beliefs and all of that.

Someday I do really hope that the stigma around it can dissolve and people can talk about it online without a line of haters and trolls, but I also think it's a bit tedious for a company already sticking out their neck to support the LGBT to kids (which a lot of Catholic parents have problems with apparently), why should they keep adding to it? The rainbow flag is a symbol of love and inclusiveness, among those white, black, straight, homosexual, LGBT, and Non LGBT.

I think it's perfect the way it is now. Just like all of us.

Intersex is a different thing than transgender. It's different than feeling like a different gender. Look it up if you need, because I am not intersex myself nor am I an expert about it.

And even with religious people, they should just ignore it if they dislike LGBTQIA+. Just because it's against their religion doesn't mean they get to be disrespectful to our community. A phrase I live and stand by: “You don't have to support us, but you have to respect us.”

Even with it being tedious and all, it would still be nice to have that extra bit of representation.
