How is Techno dying inappropriate? And anyways, what if someone wants to talk about Techno (like me)? He made some great videos, and all his videos are appropriate for Scratch.

Cancer is perfectly appropriate to talk about here.

It's certainly not a particularly cheerful subject (the opposite), but it's not inappropriate. It happens.

People die all the time (I guarantee that someone died about a minute ago, probably less, somewhere in the world). In the case of “Natural causes” (including cancer, since it's essentially a bunch of cells that can't stop replicating themselves- uncontrolled growth- and eventually destroy one of your organs or just suck up too much resources, killing you if not treated), this is a perfectly appropriate thing to talk about, most of the time.

Also, doing this would force it to apply to… well most everyone who was remotely famous and dead.

Like, for example, you would no longer be able to say “George Washington”, because he's dead and fairly well known for being the United State's first president, and a general in the Continental Army in the American Revolution.
