I like it! Only thoughts is that it's a bit synthy. Can you get it a bit more j-popy? With more instruments that aren't synths?

Guitars and maybe some heavier sounds along with the bright poppy synths. any form of drums will work but an actual kit or some house/edm sounds would be nice.

YES YES YES YES YES

You should try having the intro piano a release cut piano! That would really sell it! Cool's right too, some electric guitars would do amazing. Only problem is to get the Japanese guitar sound you kinda have to play and record it yourself, so it's ok if you don't add it

OH and add a crazy bassline! Octave jumping, transitioning to the next bass note, slap bass! That would be EPIC

There's a background melody that occasionally messes with the main but otherwise is pretty good

not sure if the game's gonna have a shop quite yet, i think we should hold off on any new compositions until we start planning the game out. we're currently working on characters
