Now say a troll somehow managed to get a teacher account, and added a bunch of random people and ended the class. How would I get my account back?

You'd probably have to contact Scratch Team for that.

As far as I know, this is not possible; you need to sign up as a student account to be one. The link-related things in the wiki article are likely talking about giving the student sign-up page to people.

I think that you can't exactly join a class, but when the account is auto-created and put into a certain class, considering that student accounts usually all contain similar names.

Teachers can't add existing accounts to a class – they can either create the student accounts themselves or give the students a link that they can use to create their accounts. This video (from 2:30) demonstrates how the process works.

a teacher account isn't even that hard to get, you can just fill out your address, first & last name, your phone number, and you get a teacher account in a day or two (even if you are not, you just have to claim to be one because the scratch team cannot verify if you actually are a teacher at the school you select)
on this basis, the most popular scratchers would have their accounts locked by now

As someone who owns a student account (I haven't used it in three years at this point, but it's there…), it is impossible to join or leave a class in any way. The account is for the class and this cannot be changed.

As far as I know, student accounts need to be created for the class or the account needs to click a link to join. They cannot just make you join, otherwise everyone especially popular scratchers would be cooked.
