Question about blood in scratch projects

What's the general consensus on blood and gore in scratch? Can it only be unrealistic/cartoonish or none at all? Asking for a friend

Question about blood in scratch projects

Look, this is my personal recommendation but when it comes to just slight blood (for the most part) you should be fine hence of its lack of importance to the scratch team, but do NOT push that boundry (In other words don't go around splattering blood in your projects like it a horror film.), also pure gore usually ain't allowed hence it usually gets to disturbing and violent, but if needed, heres a tip: try to stylize the blood by changing its properites (such as color and splatters) while keeping the gore aspect to a minumun (which could be done via off-screen or censorship in any means if necessary).

But thats just my personal recommendation when it comes to blood and gore in scratch project, its your choice if you want to go that route with your games and or animations, with that said, good luck on your future projects!

Question about blood in scratch projects

Put a small amount, but also put a warning before it appears. Also don’t create a whole bathtub worth of blood in a scratch game.

Question about blood in scratch projects

Alright, i got the message, unless it's a small amount with a warning, it's a no go.

No. Warnings DO NOT influence the ST's decision to take something down or NFE it. For this reason, content warnings are actually not allowed- anything that needs one should not be on Scratch.

Question about blood in scratch projects

I would say it's generally fine, as long as there's not too much gore, blood, etc. (E.g: character gets cut from something like a scraped knee, but don't include a characters limb coming off or smth)
