Guys a website is stealing Scratch Projects

So I was just browsing the comments on @ceebee's profile. It was the third string of comments on her profile. I saw someone say, "Hey @ceebee there is a copycat website among us can you and the ST please look into it here's the link https://www.scratch5.com/.". Someone else said that ceebee doesn't reply to comments on her profile too often, and to move that discussion to the forums. So that's what I did. the link is at https://www-scratch5-com.translate.goog/?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp. If it seems complicated, it's because the language for it is Chinese and I am using a link through Google translate, which can translate websites.

This website is probably like the geomtry dash scam website which steals games from scratch and puts them on their own website

You can watch GDColon's video about the scam website, it's pretty similar to this “Scratch5” (the video)

If it's directly copying Scratch projects, as far as I know, it's mostly legal¹. Scratch will already provide the embed code for a Scratch project, meaning you can put it anywhere on your website and run a project from there.

¹ I say “mostly” because it's legal with credit to the original website, of course. I don't know this for a fact, so don't trust me for any legal advice.

I know but technically they are calling themselves “Scratch programming”. And as far as I see, they are not giving credit. Like, they stole Paper Minecraft by griffpatch and that's not cool as it's the most viewed project on Scratch.

yeah, and Scratch Team members make mistakes too
how does this topic fit in Questions about Scratch? point to me in the original post where the question is, what is the question about scratch, and how this isn't something that the Scratch Team should handle instead

edit: i should mention that there were a few topics like this before, maybe like a year ago, and they were all closed and left for the scratch team to handle

Thank you for sharing this. Please use the Contact Us button at the bottom of every page for such questions/concerns. Here is the link to it too https://scratch.mit.edu/contact-us/. I will close this topic to prevent future responses.
