Scratch alpha and beta have been things across different versions.

Alpha indicates the FIRST issue of an addition, and beta indicates a testing version of an addition.

For example, there has been Scratch 1.0 Alpha, Scratch 2.0 Alpha, Scratch 3.0 Alpha as well as Scratch 1.0 Beta, Scratch 2.0 Beta, and Scratch 3.0 Beta.

You can use Scratch 2.0 here: https://nathan.github.io/pixie/

I don't think there's any way to use 1.4 on a website.

First things first, you see the little “quote” button in the bottom right corner of every post? Use that to reply to them- it makes it clearer who you're replying to, with the specialized formatting you see above this text.

For Scratch 1.4, there's SqueakJS: https://squeak.js.org/scratch/
To download & upload files from SqueakJS, there's https://squeak.js.org/run/

For Scratch 2.0, your best bet is probably to download the Adobe Flash player. If you are using Scratch on a web browser that was downloaded sometime in 2019, you probably have this downloaded already. If you don't, the official download for Adobe Air is at https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime
To download the 2.0 editor itself (the subdomain, download.scratch.mit.edu, where the file is hosted hasn't been working the greatest, returning errors recently and has an old certificate so browsers think it's unsecure, even though it is) I would recommend using an archived version of the page, such as https://web.archive.org/web/20190127132702mp_/https://scratch.mit.edu/download/scratch2

You removed the [quote=BigNate469], which starts the quote and in this case says that it was from me.

There's a guide to BBCode, the markup language used on the forums, at https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/759861/

The only place you can use 1.4 is if you download it IIRC.

I don’t think there’s other websites - is there something you don’t like about that website?
